Lunch was really embarrassing for a restaurant with that name. We had the 78e tasting menu, never had that simple food for that price. Lobster roll- almost no filling and could easily be shrimp instead and I wouldn’t feel the difference. Chicken salad with lettuce- too simple and not great, deep fried sea bass with a ketchup sauce- definitely the worst, then was substituted by fried shrimps with pepper - not bad but definitely not great. And dessert that could come from any delivery Asian restaurant without any effort. Really not worth it!
Great Peking duck.
One of the best Chinese restaurant in Paris no doubt. Food is always good, service is always excellent. Ambience is fantastic. You can’t go wrong with Shang Palace Paris.
Good food & good wine!
My only complaints about Shang Palace would be its location in the building, in a windowless space below ground level, and the fact that two of the dishes we wanted to order were not available that day. But those are minor points - generally it was a thoroughly enjoyable meal.
Excellence a l’etat pur!
On the expensive side, but - clearly - the best Chinese meal in Paris
Excellent food and very beautiful decoration. It’s for sure the best Chinese food in Paris.
We went for the lunch menu. Really excellent. A number of different dishes, quite different and all really very fine, well presented and very tasteful. Probably the best Chinese cuisine in Paris. Service at the very high Shangri La level. Since the restaurant is at the lower level, there are no windows, but the atmosphere is really relaxing Zen. A great experience.
The lunch menu (48 euros) is very small plates of fairly tasteless Chinese Cantonese dishes. Wine by the glass is very expensive.
fantastic Chinese food
Amazing! Food.; Service -beyond expectations! Can't wait to return
The best Chinese restaurant I’ve been so far.
It was a pity that the oven was broken. We couldn't have the roasted food. We were expecting the Beijing Duck.
Food was decent/passable Cantonese cuisine at best, floored that this is considered Michelin quality - if that is the case, there must be thousands (if not more) around the world that are more worthy. Pick a random Cantonese cafe around Hong Kong, China, LA, or NYC and they will best this joint in terms of taste and value. Good service, that’s about all that was memorable. Really unfortunate.
