Went based on a recommendation but was skeptical because of some negative reviews. Hogwash! Just amazing. A group of 5 Americans and Latinos, not a French speaker among us. We had a reservation. The reservation was honored. The service was over the top. The waiter dabbled in English and Spanish for us. The food was wonderful. We started with salad and pig foot, followed by beef. Everyone enjoyed their meal We shared one of each of the 3 desserts; all good. Be comfortable to try this out of the way gem.

Absolutely the best meal of our trip. Charming, romantic spot, beautiful wine, excellent waiter, steak and frites par excellence. Worth the distance.

The experience was not worth the effort of getting to the lower 14th arr. The food and presentation was bland. The quality of the meat was average. I would not return.

Great Meat, little place, decent wine list, ask for suggestions; good ambiance, servers do speak english/spanish. Be aware no AMEX..so Visa-MC or cash.

I have travelled throughout NAmerica, Asia and some of Europe. This would rank in my top three steak experiences in toto and even more exceptional given the prices.

Far and away one of the best steak restaurants in the world. I can’t wait for my next visit. The beef is perfectly aged and cooked, and the service has a unique kind of friendliness to it. The wine list is extensive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I came here on my Parisian friend’s recommendation and was not disappointed. My French is quite poor but the service was still excellent (no English spoke here). The food was absolutely fantastic. Great wine list. Would come back for a special occasion.

The hanger steak was terrific. The filet was average at best and over cooked. We had the first seating and they had not Carême caramel left. Overall, extremely overpriced and out of the way to be worth it.

Beautiful little local spot. Excellent tartare. Great simple green salad. Perfectly cooked steak though slightly under seared. Great frites. Many wines available by the carafe.

This is a place for steak. You can shift to veal if you want to be adventurous. We started with a nice salad and fantastic white asparagus. Then on to the meat, with a faux filet (sirloin) and an onglet- each outstanding, nicely salted. The wine options were overwhelming so the waiter asked us for a price, if we wanted it “strong” or soft and then arrived with a very nice vacqueyras. The frites are a bit of an afterthought, though fine. The desserts, a creme brûlée and a mouse au chocolate were not afterthought, just terrific. So plan ahead and enjoy.
