Beautiful intimate restaurant with superb service. The owner explained what each dish was and how it was prepared which made it very personal. We loved it and will return the next time we are in Paris!
Excellent food, very high quality, efficient and friendly service. We did a set menu with wine pairings and it was great. Superb for a romantic dinner, it was quiet enough for conversation.
Outstanding food. Fresh ingredients, some grown by the owners, imaginatively put together and matched with great wine. Exemplary service. No difficulty handling gluten free requirement. Cannot recommend too highly.
We were greeted warmly by the gentleman who runs the front of the house. The setting is beautiful with interesting art and tasteful decor. We chose the six course dinner with wine and tea pairing. It’s important to note that doing a tasting dinner requires patience. Everything is made to order but your patience is absolutely rewarded. Every dish was beautifully and thoughtfully presented with many layered yet delicate flavors. We were truly enjoying the whole experience but it was about the fifth course (the first of two dessert courses) when my husband declared, “The chef is a writer! She is writing a novel but with food!” I couldn’t agree more. She told a story with her food from beginning to end, with an arc in the middle and a beautiful completion. My husband is not a dessert person but for him the two desserts were his favorite part. That’s not to say anything negative about the first four courses. They were perfect. It’s just that the story, like a great book, continued to get better and better until the very last page. The only thing that stood out to me as a negative (initially) was the lack of music. But once my husband and I had the discussion comparing the chef to a novelist I understood. The decision was very deliberate. She didn’t want anything to detract from the story she was telling on the plate. And to that I say, Merci Beaucoup, C’était parfait!
Good food but very very sloooow. We were only two tables at the restaurante and it lasted two and a halve hours from drinks to dessert
Food alone deserves a way better score...beyond outstanding... a perfect season truffled scallop, a ridiculously wonderful mullet balanced with artichoke and asparagus, lovely cut of succulent veal, seasoned flawlessly... temper the service score with the fact that an impatient jet lagged American is writing... warm and on point but too many tables for a single server, host, bus person, coat checker etc...
A delicious meal!
Interesting fair, excellent wine/tea pairing, and cozy restaurant
Best meal we had on our weekend visit to Paris
Very impressive food and pleasant service. Really enjoyed!
A little gem. Original approach. Personal service. I like this. Beautiful view. Like eating in someone’s home. Food cooked with love.
Great food but the atmosphere and decor need desperate work. No background music or anything - feels like you’re eating in a church where you’re not supposed to talk. Great food though.
Excellent food, good service
Fantastic dinner - the food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the wine pairing option was perfect. Attentionate and discrète service. Would def recommend
Exquisite food, beautifully presented in a lovely atmosphere. We chose to order the wine pairing option and highly recommend. Our reservation was for 7 pm and we had the restaurant to ourselves for the first hour. It was full by the time we left 2 hours later.
Thank you to Phillipe and the Sequana Team for a cozy, charming, delicious dining experience. We enjoyed every part of our exquisite meal and are very glad we found our way to you!!!
The food was great! Highly recommend. Will be back again!
The cuisine was superb and well balanced, and the service was great. The atmosphere was very quiet, perhaps too quiet, but a little background ambiance music would have served the restaurant well with just few tables in the dining area, making it intimate yet open and not cramped. Style of decor was different, yet perhaps fitting to the desire of the owners. Overall a great experience and for $55 for a Michelin rated course meal it’s an incredible value. A must for those getting introduced to fine French cuisine.
Excellent cuisine and service in a relaxed atmosphere. We’ll be back!
