I have been to about five Ethiopean/Eritrean restaurants before and I always enjoy them. The dishes are varied and the way to eat with the sour dough crêpes is a nice change to our conventional eating. This restaurant was very good and I can definitely recommend it. The only thing I was not delighted by was that in the non-meat version there was only a single spicy sauce... the famous spicy egg does not come in a vegeratian version.

Been to a few Ethiopian restaurants I Amsterdam, but prefer this one. The fish meal was delicious and the portion was large. Pleasant staff. Easy walk from centre on edge of Jordan.

Tasty food and good service. We had the meat platter for two (can't remember the name!)

Amazing food and drinks served with warm and friendly service in a colourful and relaxed setting. Especially recommend the African surprise and honey wine.

Love Ethiopian food and this has some really good examples. We have eaten there twice, the first time we split the large meat platter for 2 (substituting an Okra dish for one of the meat dishes) and the second time we ordered individual dishes. The injera is well done, the lentil dishes are very tasty (particularly the red lentils), good greens. I really like the spicy red meat and fish dishes, my wife loves the okra in red sauce. Restaurant is in a quiet part of Amsterdam with some tables looking out at a canal. House wines are reasonable, good beer selection.

We had a dinner with a big group of friends time ago. Taken in the context of (the very very similar to one another) Etiopian restaurants of Amsterdam, food was overall not bad. But one thing is certain: why did we get much smaller portions per person as a group than when one comes with 2 people? This is fooling people. Also, the bill was clearly an exaggeration, for what we had. You should make a cheaper deal, to a big group, not the opposite! Come on guys, this way you don't go far.
