The restaurant was great considering it’s Michelin star the atmosphere was very amazing it was very relaxing and not over the top. The food was excellent and the staff incredibly friendly. We were very impressed even though we do not like to eat menues the Vermeer really changed our opinion on that.
As always excellent.
The food was delicious. The young lady who took our order got it incorrect and then overcharged us for the amount of courses which we ordered versus the courses actually delivered to us. Even the last item on the menu was not delivered to us because we declined tea or coffee. We were also overcharge for bottles of water. When each of these errors were pointed out the bill was changed but not the slightest bit of expression of regret for the error was to be heard.
Great food and atmosphere
Vermeer took us by suprise. We went to a culinary journey and we enjoyed everysingle bit of it. Thank you for a wonderful evening
Interesting inventive dishes. Pleasantly surprised at the combinations of ingredients and flavors.
Beautiful food, service and ambience. Also the decoration is elegant and refine. I have enjoyed a relax and pleasant dinner with a friend. . .
Really love the surprises.
It is an unforgettable experience Amazing flavour in every dish
Nice interiour. Food was delicious. Liked the size of portions - they were enough small not to overeat. Great experience.
The crew was not that experienced what you would expect in such a restaurant
Excellent all around. Innovative nouvelle cuisine reminiscent of fab restaurants in San Francisco. Considerate staff who upon seeing one of our diners had to leave early discounted the meal.
Fantastic taste sensations! The most delicious meal i’ve ever experienced. The sommelier was very friendly. Would Highly recommend.
Very nice food, beatifully paired with common sources/ vineyards one would not normally consider! A nice experience, thank you
Very good food- from concept to execution. Light spacious and inviting restaurant.a little pricy esp the french wine selection
The dual swirling table service an absolute pleasure to behold, second only to the courses themselves and the perfect brief and clear culinary commentary accompagniments.
So, there is a certain expectation level that you go with when heading to a Michelin star restaurant and Vermeer disappointed on many levels. I went here for to celebrate a special occasion but it wasn't very relaxed with an incessant crying infant throughout the evening in the background. Please don't get me wrong - The menu and the food were brilliant. The number of additional amuse bouche's and courses that you get with any choice that you make is impressive. One or two of the dishes were a little too salty but I was ok with it; my friends on the other hand couldn't enjoy those dishes at all as it was too much for them. Where the restaurant fell short was on the service and the ambiance. The service was not coordinated and well-managed at all - I would give brownie points for the effort but the laying and removing of the courses was not at the same time. Sometimes, we didn't get an explanation of what we were eating. The ambiance is beautiful but not very cozy. When we went in, we were next to a table with a crying infant so we changed our table but we could still hear the crying in the other part of the restaurant throughout our 3-hour dinner. Bottom-line: good food but not "special" ; could do with better ambiance, service.
We had a fantastic night for the birthday of my boyfriend, there was also an amazing cake as surprise at the end of our dinner. The wine pairing was excellent. The only reason because we give "just" good to "Decoration and Atmosphere" instead of "Very Good" was because our table wasn't in the decorated dining room.
