Very poor value for money.
Food was good and up to my expectations. Would b nice if they could be more informative to tell us their recommendations and specials (if any).
Best artichokes ever eaten in a restaurant!
A quiet, calm, pretty restaurant just off the via Veneto. A wide selection of excellently prepared dishes. A good wine list. Charming, personal, yet formal service. What more could one ask for?
This is a nice looking mid-level place. Everything is done well, nothing is brilliant. The appearance and setting are comforting--it has an old-fashioned feel, and I mean that in a good way. It feels like a step up. The food is nothing special, but always correct. Nothing objectionable or distinguished, in short. A bit pricey for the food quality, the overall check is probably ok in terms of value considering that it has an upscale look and good service. On the whole, nothing really stands out in its great location. I wouldn't mind going back, but I'd sure hunt around and try to find better places first.
Faultless. The place was very busy but the service and the food were tremendous. We will go back if/when in Rome again.
This is our third time at this restaurant, and it’s better every time. I tell everyone I know in the US to come here, and since I write restaurant reviews, that says something. I wouldn’t want to ruin my reputation by recommending a bad restaurant! The one flaw is that sometimes the service can be a bit slow, but it’s Roma! Go with the flow and enjoy a delicious meal. Also, the tiramisu is to die for. DO save room for it!
The bar tender at our hotel recommended Restaurant Peppone to us. We made a reservation, walked in and we warmly greeted by Fabio the chef. My wife and I are high maintenance and ordered with changes to the dishes. The staff had no problems making what we wanted. The food was so good, we ate there the two nights we were in Rome.
A lovely local restaurant convenient to our hotel. We booked it an hour before we wanted to eat and they welcomed us warmly. The door was delicious and authentic. The eggplant parmigiana appetizer was especially memorable. We would highly recommend.
Very welcoming. Very good local Italian done well. Very good service. Best panne cotta on the planet.
Best meal I had in Rome! The Risotto with Porcini Mushrooms was perfection. I tried the meatballs (also very good) and found the panna cotta to be the perfect dessert to end a great dining experience. Great service !
First, the service: the hosts somewhat hovered near the tables. I suppose that was a nice touch to make sure all the tables got quick service but it was a little too “attentive” for my taste. The attitude was not welcoming and bordering on snobbish and a bit rude. The attitude definitely was not warranted especially for the quality of the food. Second, the food: My SO and I ordered one appetizer, two main courses, two desserts, one coffee, and a bottle of wine. The entire bill came to €110. For the quality of food, it was overpriced. The seafood pasta was mediocre as was the saltimbocca. The appetizer (cheese with prosciutto) was the best thing we ate. I understand for a pricer restaurant in Rome the price I expected but the quality wasn’t up to par.
The melon was excellent. The bucatini was delicious. Our waitress was welcoming and efficient. A good dining experience.
Best parmaseana melenzana in the city.
Wonderful food. The raviolis were fresh. The pasta e ravioli soup was very tasty
Real authentic food. The menu was in Italian and English. The service was top notch and the prices were very reasonable
This was our final night in Rome and were hoping for a special meal - BUT no ambience or atmosphere at all and the food was worse! Menu was limited and overpriced for the quality of the food- unimaginative menu and food to match. Didn’t have a dessert as nothing appealed , and to top it all the waiter tried to overcharge us - when I questioned the bill the response was defensive and unapologetic- very disappointing night! Hopeless!
Fantastic traditional food and kind service.
Outstanding tastes - attentive service!
