    Lovely little restaurant, modern quirky decor. Fish Tapas type food, which was really tasty, although a bit expensive for what you got. Staff really lovely and helped out with selecting the dishes. Highly recommended.

    Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in diesem kleinen aber feinen Restaurant und können es jedem nur empfehlen. Es ist zwar etwas teurer als der Lissaboner Durchschnitt, aber in jedem Fall sein Geld wert!! Was da mit Fisch gezaubert wird, sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Besonders alle Tuna-Variationen haben uns begeistert. Und den kleinen Kuchen mit noch flüssigem Karamellkern zum Dessert, begleitet von einem roten Beeren-Eis muss man probiert haben!! Der verändert euer Leben - definitiv!! Schön ist, dass man alle Gerichte auch teilen kann. So isst man nicht parallel jeder seine bestellten Gerichte, sondern bekommt alle einzeln nacheinander. (Nur den Karamellkuchen wollte ich nicht teilen, da muss jeder seinen eigenen haben!!) Also: eine klare Empfehlung und: besser reservieren, denn es ist ein eher kleines Restaurant.

    Very nice little place with good service and good food. We had the carpaccio and the fried bacalao with wasabe puree, which were pretty good. The oysters with passion fruit were not that good. The caramel fondant was exquisite.

About the restaurant

A tradição marítima histórica do Cais do Sodré, fosse pelos marinheiros que vagueavam inebriados pelas ruas do bairro ou pelas varinas que apregoavam o seu mais fresco peixe desde o cais até à ribeira, impunha abrir um espaço que celebrasse estas duas memórias lisboetas e fê-lo conciliando Rum e Peixe.

Contemporâneo e todo ele invocando o mar, o peixola é uma cervejaria que serve só e somente peixe seja interpretando clássicos nacionais como o picapau ou o bitoque (ambos com atum) ou dando uma volta ao mundo com famosos os tacos de camarão ou o ceviche peruano.

Tudo regado com cocktails de assinatura que na sua base celebram a bebida de eleição dos que andam no mar: o rum.
