Our second time inside a week in Papapoule. Both times we've enjoyed the consistent taste of modern French cuisine. The atmosphere is youthful, pleasant if loud at times. Almost all dinners were local. This is a casual modern Parisian restaurant worth a visit.
The food was a total disappointment No choice for appetizer, home style chosen for you,- a collection of small uninspiring cold salads, two sad shrimps and tasteless bone marrow. I ordered the only vegetarian option- whatever they decide that day- and it was a mushroom risotto that should not be called a risotto, rather a porridge w cream and mushrooms with tasteless squash on top. My husband ordered the fish- again, whatever they decide is the fish plate they are serving- and it was ok, nothing special. And my plate was chipped! I complained about my food and we were not charged for it.
The food was kind of traditional French cuisine but with an original touch. Quality for the price is correct and you won't leave hungry. Service was awfully slow.
The food here was excellent! A little pricey and slow, but it was a great treat for a dinner out while visiting Paris. We got to try lots of different French foods in the shared appetizers
Terrific food, service, and atmosphere. The starters were creative and tasty. For mains I had the pork belly and my wife had the beef confit—both delicious.
We wanted to eat traditional French food and we were not disappointed. We tried many dishes which were explained to us so we knew what we were eating. The small restaurant was buzzing on a Tuesday evening so booking is essential. Thank you to the owner of the restaurant for speaking English to us and explaining the menu in great detail. We had a lovely evening and enjoyed the food and atmosphere of Papapoule.
The food was fantastic. The entrees were superb. The wine list was exquisite. Lovely atmosphere. Had a wonderfully cooked filet of beef and my friend has the confit of beef, and both were excellent. Array of desserts were impressive, though not all were as good as others. Overall, I would highly recommend (and definitely make a reservation)!
My mum and I really enjoyed this restaurant. The staff were friendly, food delicious and price rate great! I Would definitely recommend to anyone.
The best steak I have ever eaten in 50 years of living.
The food was good but unfortunately, the service was very slow. I think the kitchen and service staff may have been understaffed that night.
This restaurant is just lovely. Decor, service and food are all great. Starters to share, great authentic french dishes. Only one main course for non meat eaters, but it was truly amazing! Best fish-dish I had in quite a while. Nice selection of wines as well, making this a great place for a diner in Paris, absolutely worth recommending!
Rated highly on Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint. Reserved easily via the Fork online. The atmosphere was lively, staff were very friendly and even went so far as to explain how to eat a dish I had never had before. ( the marrowbone). Service was quick and the food was delicious. The five shareable entr
Overall nice atmosphere and good quality food and wine. However the waitress brings your dishes even though you haven't finished your appetizers and deserts were very disappointing, and we tried them all!
Good service, food not bad, but not well equiped for summer season (no AC)
Menu was not in English, but the waitress was nice enough to offer to translate for us. Food was very good, but my boyfriend order the steak and it was more cooked than he wanted. Apart from that it was great! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere
It’s a very nice place with good service, very tasty typical French dishes and good wine. Although there wasn’t an English menu, the waiter came for help almost immediately. The concept was surpisingly good and we really recommend it for people who are looking to eat at a cozy typical French place with French fresh tasty dishes then this is the place to be!
Super restaurant que je recommande !
Great Place with an innovative offering - family style appies and deserts with interesting mains. Definitely recommended! The duck parmentier was delicious.
