Beautiful setting. Welcome and service could be warmer and more attentive. Delicious food, however the menu could offer more variety. Almost excellent but not quite there yet.

Nice ambience, disappointing food and service. (Tho the servers were pleasant, but not very attentive). They did not have the octopus that I ordered. Could live with that, but my Backup salmon was dry. No water refill, had to flag staff down for several things. Was supposed to run my credit card at the table with the machine, waiter never came back. I had to flag someone else after 3o minutes of waiting. I know it was filling up, but I was there about a good hour before any other table. I would recommend just grabbing a drink at the bar if you want to experience the lion room and the head of elsewhere for dinner.

A nice place ruined by the service. It is like they are doing you a favour by accepting you in there. Zero empathy of the staff, average food quality at a high price. On top of that, the bill included drinks which were not ordered, so pay always attention to that. I wonder why the owners/managers do not realise about the poor service that they provide, unless they like having the honour of being a trap for tourists. Definitely, I will not come back again. Lesson learned.

Great restaurant! The Lion room on the second floor is exceptionally beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxed and the service is discreet and friendly. My husband and I had different dishes his octopus salad starter he said was fresh delicious with complex flavours! Stunning! I had the burrata which had great flavours, but was a little clumsy in its execution. Mains ...I had the sirloin steak with padron peppers and tomatoes, the steak was excellent, but I was not sure about the mixture of flavours, but still it was extremely tasty. My husband had the pork ribs, they were soft and delicious, only slight fault was they were a little salty... and we love salt. But the combo of flavours was excellent! We would definitely come back to this restaurant, overall its ambiance and culinary excellence would be hard to beat!

It was ok, bit overpriced (bread, butter, oil and olives for a tad under 10) Slow service- my wine arrived 5 minutes after my main came in. The girl that took our reservation was fantastic though.

We arrived on time for our reservation but spent 15 mins waiting to be seated which we were nervous about because we were at 11:45 and the kitchen closed at 12. We were made aware of this on multiple occasions by the staff and we said we understood and rushed to place our orders. We received our appetizers which included the salmon and tuna tartare tacos, the best of Portugal cheese platter and the tomato and burrata with balsamic vinegar. Everything was extremely delicious and the staff was kind enough to wait till we were done to start bringing out the mains even though the kitchen was closing. My friends order the ribs, bitoque and a meat sandwich. I had order the squash risotto with fish. We had a mix up with my plate because they had brought out some pasta dish, not at all what I ordered. The asked if I would eat it anyways, I said no because I am allergic to wheat and cannot eat pasta. Then they asked if I would prefer the risotto with mushroom or asparagus since it’s faster, I said no because I don’t enjoy those sides. Still, they managed to bring out the meal I asked for which was absolutely delicious and super filling. only other problem was my friends ribs were not appealing my friend said they were gummy and had very little meat. Otherwise, the rest was absolutely fantastic as well as our drinks were rose, gin and tonic and vodka tonic. We also had small glasses of port and the staff was extremely apologetic about the mixup. I would come again.

The setting of the restaurant in amazing, great atmosphere, food is very good but took a bit too long to be served. Our waiter Pedro was very kind. Surely a place we will be revisiting !!!

Serviço de excelência num espaço com identidade e memória. Um museu comestível. A experiência estética que integra a dimensão gastronómica, num diálogo entre arte e arquitectura "de época". A verdade dos sentidos sob "o manto diáfano da fantasia". Lisbon revisited and what the tourist should (really) see.

Bad service, not very nice and too busy to be attentive like we could expect at this place. Poor choice of music (loud) making the ambiance noisy and uncomfortable. Food is good but price is too high for that.

Very noisy. We were sitting next to the kitchen door so we had a lot of traffic going by.

What a beautiful restaurant and ambiance. Good service and delicious wine (forgot the name, unfortunately). Definite recommendations: the cod carpaccio, the sirloin steak and the lemon pie.

An impressive restaurant powered by a very friendly yet highly dedicated team . Ideal starting point to understand the rich portugese culinary tradition. The restaurant itself is located in a palace that gives a taste of the portugese glorious architectural refinement.

Staff very welcoming and professional. Dish quality variable - croquettes and risotto far too salty. Poke good. Ribs good. Wine - good value. Decor - unique. We were asked if each dish was OK while we were eating it. We said the risotto was far too salty - I would expect a good restaurant to offer a replacement. Would I go back? Probably, only for a drink
