Osteria Fernanda, locale gestito da Davide Del Duca (chef) e Andrea Marini (sommelier), da un paio d’anni ha cambiato sede spostandosi negli più ampi locali di via Crescenzo Del Monte, tra Porta Portese e Piazzale della Radio. Da piccola osteria si è trasformata in una location più elegante ed accogliente, caratterizzata da ampie vetrate ed una parete che accoglie la ricca ed interessante proposta di vini e distillati. Lo chef si esprime attraverso una cucina del territorio che si arricchisce con contaminazioni di sapori, tecnica, abbinamenti e cotture. Il sommelier e responsabile di sala è un appassionato di vini di qualità, e riesce con garbo e competenza a guidare gli ospiti alla scoperta di etichette estremamente interessanti.

Il percorso culinario è costruito su idee basate su intensità esplicite, sapori stimolanti, consistenze confortanti. Molto buona la “Spugna al cavolo nero” ottimo il paté di fegatini lavorato in modo da divenire adatto ad ogni tipo di palato. Davvero golosa la “Piadina di cozze, crostacei, burrata, ortica, alghe e pompelmo”. Tra i primi degni di nota il “Risotto, estratto di erba, gelato al conciato di san vittore, timo e miso” e gli “Spaghettoni Cavalieri, melanzana bruciata, gambero rosso e pistacchi” piatto nel quale Del Duca ricrea gusto e consistenza del nero di seppia grazie alla melanzana bruciata.

Ma in un ristorante dal menu stellato ci sono anche richiami forti alla tradizione culinaria romana, ad esempio con i bucatini all’amatriciana. All’altezza delle aspettative anche alcuni secondi come il “Piccione, fegato di rana pescatrice in porchetta, pak-choi e limone di mare”. Tra i dessert assolutamente imperdibile la “Spuma, aglio nero, birra rossa e tuberi”, un dessert realizzato esclusivamente con elementi non dolci che ricorda il caramello, la liquirizia, ma anche le birre corpose, il cappuccino.

    Tried their tasting menu. The food is in general innovative and can often offer great surprise. The playing is lovely. Some of the dishes in the tasting menu like the risotto is a little too watery with the abundant of sauce, but tasted good. Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a pleasant experience overall.

    Excellent. Innovative. You need to test the tasting menu: what an experience!! We’ve asked for a wine pairing and if was so good!! Our first time there as we were advised by a friend to go there (we are from Canada). We’ll come back and advise our friend. A must.

    Wonderful surprise! Friendly and considerate staff and great food! I highly appreciated this restaurant and I recommend it! Perfect balance of flavors and surprising association of ingredients. Elegant and modern design as well as for the interior than in the presentation of the dishes. Each dish was served and they gave us a detailed presentation of the ingredients which was really helpful so my sister could notify them of her allergies before eating the dessert. They kindly remade the dessert specially for her.

    We spent our New Years Eve at this restaurant. The food was extraordinary both in flavor and presentation. With the special menu for the occasion, we had more than a dozen dishes - a real Babette’s feast, for those who recall the film. We had an absolutely amazing culinary experience. Hats off to the chef-magician.

    The cuisine is just FABULOUS. We travel and try different food gastronomy worldwide. This is definitely one of the few top places where both the service and the food are world class. We would very highly recommend to everyone to try this experience.

    It was a long welk from where we were staying in Rome but absolutely worth it! We ate 3 courses à la carte and were spoiled with 3 more (appetizers, a pre-dessert and sweets afterwards). Everybody was friendly and correct and helpful with translating the whole menu since they only changed it the day before and didn’t already have an English version. Excellent!

    interesting food, nice staff, we came with kids, they prepare spacial apéritif for them and special desert (we hadn't ordered anything for them, and we didn't pay anything for them). worth the try, highly recommended

FILOSOFIA - In zona Trastevere, a Roma, si trova il Ristorante Osteria Fernanda. Un ambiente accogliente ed informale, che ha l’aspetto di una trattoria, senza tovaglie a quadretti, il menù di un ristorante stellato, ma senza stelle e l’anima dell’osteria di una volta, dove si viene accolti con calore, si mangia e si beve bene, spendendo il giusto, e non si ha più voglia di andarsene.

PROPOSTE - Il locale propone un menù molto vario, con portate preparate seguendo le ricette tipiche della tradizione romana. E’ possibile ordinare alla carta, ma anche alcuni menù degustazione, davvero eccezionali.

CONSIGLIATI - Assolutamente da provare i bucatini all’amatricina e la pluma iberica.
