Kip gegrild in tandoor (klei oven)
In een zachte knoflook marinade geroosterd kip in de tandoor
We had shrimp and chicken curry and both were very tasty. Also great garlic naan. I need to give 60 more characters for some stupid reason.......
The curries That we tried lacked flavor unfortunately. The lamp in the mixed grill tasted like sheep, but the naam and the Nepalese dish we tried were nice. Overall it was not bad, but definitely not the best Indian in Amsterdam as TripAdvisor suggests.
Really really good food so totally worth a visit but they had missed our booking so they had to improvise a table, then move us and then we were seated just next to the door so super cold. Then the staff just seemed annoyed at us being there, maybe because they knew we had booked with a discount but then why offer the discount?
Had a craving for Indian food and decided to check this place out. Saw a ton of reviews on TripAdvisor and just picked Mount Everest literally based on the stars. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint! We are a family of 4 with 2 kids and the server was very welcoming and accommodating. He brought us out a high chair and was very polite. I made a reservation through the fork and it gave me a 50% coupon off my whole meal. We ordered 3 garlic naan, 1 chicken biryani and 2 chicken tikka masala which was really good. Our check came out to 78€ but with the discount, only 34€! Awesome price and we’ll be returning when we come back to Amsterdam!
Prima eten
Very good food and very good diner
Eten is top.
Please go to this restaurant. It will not disappoint. Everything about it was excellent, especially the food. We are complete food snobs and we loved this place. Everything was fresh and very well prepared. It was awesome.
Very good food with 50 % discount, very good service. What could be better. Next stay in Amsterdam we´will eat there.
This was a real surprise! The meals were fresh prepared with a wonderful spicy taste. It is not easy to find restaurants like this with a familiar atmosphere and authentic Nepalese/Indian food. We will come again!
May not look like much from outside and it's pretty standard in terms of decor, but it's proper curry. Four of us shared appetizers, mains and sides and the selection was really good. Not just standard boring stuff. Highly recommend
I visited Mount Everest yesterday with my two grown daughters. We all love Indian food and gave eaten enough of it to know the difference between good and bad Indian dishes. Mount Everest did not disappoint. The food was really good and all freshly made, well spiced and more than enough. The friendly waiter looked after us really well. We will return soon!
I've been to many Indian restaurants before, and the Mount Everest Tandoori was food wise one of the best. The vegetable momo's (appetizer) were very tasty and our main courses (vegetarian) were delicious too. Less greasy as at other places and the ingredients seem to be fresh. Rice is included in the main dish. The service is friendly. We used a The Fork deal. We believe without a deal this restaurant is a tad on the more expensive side. Especially the sides like drinks and naan bread could be less pricey. The restaurant is conveniently located in walking distance of the ferry from Central Station. We would love to go here again and we definitely recommend this place!
One of the best restaurant i ever had dine. Excellent food, amazing service and friendly staffs. Best food in Amsterdam! Highly recommended for everyone! Worth visiting it.
So, you have to get one of the free boats located near central station to cross the water and then very short walk. Initially, when we arrived we werent expecting much because of the location and appearance but My partner and I were amazed at just how good the food was. We wasn’t expecting such tasty fresh food. We started off with chicken pakoras and chicken momos which comes with a very spicy sauce. “Best I have ever had” my partner said. The sauce was that good we asked for the recipe which we are going to try and make when we get back home. We then got a chicken balti/karahi and a chicken Nepalese dish, both came with boiled rice and we ordered a garlic naan. All fresh and such tasty food. One of the best meals we have had. Definitely worth a visit, away from the hustle and bustle of all the tourists. Perfect meal. The young waiter which served us was so helpful, he gave us advice on places to go etc and gave us a free shot at the end of our meal. Family run place.
Very good food and kind hosts.
Tasty food with reasonable prices and good quality and very good and welcoming stuff, I would rather eat here again and recommend it for my friends
nice find!! we were at the ADAM and wanted to have diner, but not willing to go for the 5 courses diner in ADAM tower. via the Fork we found the Mount Everest Tandoori restaurant, rating was correct. it is simple, the food was well made and tasty. it feels and taste like real food made in the restaurant. the family setup was simple for this late evening in the week. very good value for money if you like Nepalese/Indian food. it is off track 5min away from the ferry stop, therefore the prices are very correct. I took nepalese specialty and my wife a curry she does make at home. we both enjoyed our diner at Mount Everest Tandoori.
It was great food and also a fun trip with ferry over the river from Amsterdam Central station! I went to Nepal a couple of months ago and this tasted just like it.
The dishes were very tasty in this restaurant and also the wine was delicious. The service was really exellent. The staff was extraordinary friendly and attentively. We can highly recommend this place for a great stay.

A welcoming Nepalese atmosphere
Mt. Everest is a warm and cosy place in Amsterdam-Noord where it feels like home immediately. You’ll arrive in a real Asian atmosphere where the service is very friendly. Hospitality is their middle name. The decor is very typical for Nepal with all the prayer flags and drawings of the biggest mountain of the world. Most of the delicious dishes are a combination of Nepalese and Indian specialties. Even the most exclusive meals are on the menu here. So, prepare for a culinary experience you won’t forget!
