Really good restaurant, really good service, but the menu is too expensive compared to the amount of food...
Awful, overpriced, corporate atmosphere. I felt like I was in a factory and I was one of the items being manufactured on the assembly line. No ambiance whatsoever. Terrible service. Outrageous prices. The food was edible but nothing beyond that. Basically, I feel completed ripped off. Don’t go here.
Went here with friends from the US and enjoyed the setting and ambiance. Then the bill came - with under 30 for a rice table, food prices are reasonable. But 5.75 for a bottle of sparkling, 4,50 for an Espresso, and 5,50 for a regular size Bintang (Indonesian Heineken), we were unpleasantly surprised by the total of the bill. I didn't expect this to be a tourist trap but that is the feeling we left with. A shame really, because Amsterdam can use a/another good place for Indonesian.
le Rijstaffel est excellent
It was a great experience, not just a great meal, the personal help us to pick the best option, explain us very clear every dish, and the food was amazing
Great place with good food and nice personnel. The atmosphere is nice. Rice tables are varied with vegetarian options, and you can ask for mild food if you prefer.
We shared the Vegetarian Ricetable; it was delicious and generous. Friendly enthusiastic staff in a comfortable setting. We recommend this restaurant.
too high prices compared with other indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam, Also limited quantities per portion
Appetizers are really good. But, the main dishes are ok. The dessert was also decent. Overall, it was a satisfactory meal. It will definitely fill you up!
We pre-booked on-line and all went smooth, unfortunately there was a big table with around 8 something American's, some of them were drunk and terrible loud, we asked if we could move away from them which was possible (luckily) The quality of the food, the flavours were amazing it was the best Indonesian food we had since a long time, we have been many times to Indonesia but never found this beautiful quality. The service was great but this is quite normal for people from Indonesia, they are just lovely. If you want some fantastic flavoured Indonesian food, this is the restaurant you will need to go. We will be back.
Service was warm with a good explanation of the 3 types of ricetable on offer. Food was good, only a couple of spicy dishes, but portion size was limited - for two was perhaps sized for one and a half. Other Indonesian places are cheaper, but price was fair - three choices 26.5 euro for main only, 37.5 euro for three course, 46 euro for 3 courses with more expensive ingredients. Only gripe was that ordered a second beer that never arrived but was on the bill - was removed without complaint when challenged. Would recommend for warm welcome and good atmosphere.
We had the medium priced rice table, and it was ok but not great. The service varied throughout the meal. Pricey for what it offers. More consistent and attentive service, and a little more zing in the kitchen would be great.
The meal was delicious. It was the first time several of the guests ate Indonesian food and they were delighted. Portions are generous - a rijsttafel for two is plenty of food.
My wife and I both enjoyed a delicious, authentic Indonesian meal served by attentive and friendly staff in this cosy restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome and would definitely recommend Long Pura. I'm very glad that we booked in advance as the place was very busy as we'd have been very disappointed having savored the wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen.
We did the three course rice table. Nice presentation and adequate amount of food. We would have enjoyed at least one fish/seafood option.
It was fun to share all the little dishes of the "rice table". There was plenty of food and rice for all of us with leftovers. The beef & lamb could have been trimmed better so that you didn't get fat or connective tissue with the meat.
Super friendly place and staff. Food was great and with the right spicy levels :) The Ricetable was a great experience for a party of 3-4.
Really nice food, service and atmosphere!
Had the rice table, three of the dishes looked like a brown paste and lacked taste, the meal was warm at best and not at all appetising.
