Such a lovely experience. Kind and helpful service. So thoughtful about food allergies. Truly delicious food—nothing has ever been disappointing. I will return whenever I’m in Paris.

The restaurant was cosy, personal and very friendly. All three courses were excellent and well appreciated by two generations. When we left the restaurant we all agreed: We will come again!

Such a lovely experience. Everything was perfect! The proprietors are kind and expert in pairing wine and food and we’re very helpful in accommodating our gluten-free needs. I highly recommend the charcuterie, we call it “Duck Four Ways.” Take your time at this place. It’s a respite from touristy Paris.

We were treated with kindness and good humor, despite our fumbling attempts at French. Our starters and mains were all exceptional, and when we asked for a wine pairing, it did not disappoint. Our only regret is that they did not provide us with second stomachs so we could finish every delicious bite.

Cosy and affordable place for duck and foie gras. Particularly enjoyed the sliced duck breast with honey and the duck confit. Service was great as well. It’s a small place so reservations are definitely needed.

One of the best dinners I've ever had , a real find. It's small and a bit off the beaten path, not a tourist trap at all. I cannot speak French at all but the woman who runs it welcomed me so warmly (arrived a half hour early for my reservation but was still seated right away) and went out of her way to look after me. I began with onion soup and escargot (simple starters but WOW...) then had a duck entree which came with 2 different sauces and four sides. Everything I was given was outstanding and she also recommended a glass of wine that paired perfectly with all of it. If you enjoy duck, seek this place out, you will not be disappointed....

What everyone hopes for in a Paris restaurant. Great produce, expertly prepared, fairly priced. The two people who run the show know their craft, are genuinely informative, warm and friendly. I'm not usually fond of duck (my wife is) but I'd return here in a heartbeat, if asked, for further exploration of their menu.

About the restaurant

"Very close to the Pigalle Metro, near the pretty place Saint-Georges, Le Petit Canard is a location that cannot be given a miss.

Guests can enjoy traditional cuisine prepared with produce from the family farm in Haute-Savoie here. Of course, the great specialty of the establishment is the duck, that you can taste in all its forms. Mère Gaud's duck is not the duck found in supermarkets!

In terms of decoration, the atmosphere of this small place is intimate, the welcome is without fuss, simply sumptuous.

A must-visit restaurant for all duck fans."
