The staff went above and beyond. By far the best experience we had in Rome!
Not crowded. Food food with extensive menu. Food was good.
Dont let the atmosphere fool you...the food and wine are excellent. Very authentic Italian cuisine. I highly recommend it and will return.
Classy restaurant with delicious food. We three loved every dish we had. Try the tiramisu- one of the best we've ever had!
Good food, good service! What's not to love. Try the tuna .... fabulous!
The food was absolutely delicious and the wine was fantastic. Highly recommend the carbonara and the shrimp skewers to start!
The food at Le Grondici was okay. It is in a very touristy area so is fairly noisy. The food appears to be geared for tourists. It was okay but nothing notable. The wine was only passable. It could be what I chose but all the choices were lower level wines. They didn't seem happy that we ordered a salad. It came with corn on it that wasn't very cooked and overpowered the salad (that had no dressing). Fortunately they had balsamic vinegar and oil on the table so I could put it on the salad. This may be an Italian thing but the following night I had a much better salad that also had corn on it. The reviews were good and it was good, just not exceptional.
The staff was polite but only interactive enough to get your order, bring your food and get the table filled by the next party. Although the food was great and the service was good, there were a few things I noticed that could have been better. First, we weren't seated until 15 minutes after the reservation. The waitress told us the restaurant was not open yet, so we waited in the street. It was raining. And secondly, there were specials which we weren't told about. Lastly, I overheard one waiter tell another couple that he was going to put them in a better area of the restaurant away from the tourists (that would have been us). I wouldn't expect that local customers would get preferential treatment over tourist customers after considering the cost of dining at the expensive establishment. Taken together, the dining experience outweighs the opposing facts of the last paragraph, and I would recommend the restaurant solely based on the food quality. Buon apetito.
Good food, but bad location
Great food but little ambience.
Your typical Italian cafe/restaurant. Great food. The tomato / buffalo mozzarella soup was outstanding. No issues with any staff. The service was attentive and prompt.
The food was lovely but the atmosphere and decor were a bit disappointing compared to other restaurants we saw on our walk around the area.
The food was very good. The service was a little peculiar. The table next to ours received a lot of warmth and playfulness; they were clearly special guests. The waiters were stiff and formal with us, almost dismissive, which just felt odd. The setting was very hotel-restaurant, lighting fairly bright, nothing warm & cozy about it. But the food was very good!
Great location, great food and wine, and service like you are truly family. Will come back here every single time we return to Rome :)
I love this restaurant
The food was excellent, the servers very attentive and recommended an excellent wine.
A lovely evening with good Italian pasta and chianti.
My girls and I walked in late and were provided impeccable service and had a delicious meal. The mixed salad with my veal was fresh and crisp and the meat was tender and perfect. The pastas were both also very much enjoyed. Our waiter was friendly and quite attentive.
Food is good. Little bit slow and some mistakes on service.
We were generally disappointed with this place. We had the fettuccine bolognese and the margherita pizza and while the pasta was relatively good the pizza was not. The service made it worse. The young woman helping us was nasty when we asked them to cut the pizza for us. Just so unpleasant. I would not recommend.
