we always start and end our Paris trips with dinner in this charming restaurant. We especially enjoy sitting outside as it is situated in a picturesque pocket park on the Ile de La Cite. Le Caveau du Palais has it all; good food, wine atmosphere and service

Always solid. It's my 5th time here.. I do wish they have the duck confit with bacon back as an option since it really stands out. I'll keep on coming back here still for sure!

One of my favorite restaurants in Paris. The food is incredible, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm, friendly, and relaxed. I go every time I visit France and would recommend to everyone.

Everything was top notch. We were in Paris for our Honeymoon and chose this as our fancy last meal. It was everything we could have hoped for and the perfect way to end the trip. The food was incredible!

Lovely spot on Place Dauphine. Our party of three had a perfect table by the window overlooking the Place.

The meal was very average, the rib-eye steak was a thin slice and very chewy at 27 euros. The paella was bland!

About the restaurant

"LE CAVEAU DU PALAIS - a stunning must-see place of the superb place Dauphine, Le Caveau du Palais welcomes you throughout the week in a very chic Parisian setting with white stones and exposed beams. Here, the tablecloths are white, the cloth napkins and service impeccable. Extremely well located on the square, Le Caveau du Palais that owes its name to the nearby Palais de Justice attracts journalists, lawyers and judges who work in the area, but also many tourists who have come to discover one of the most beautiful royal squares in Paris.

CREATIVE FRENCH CUISINE - Our chef offers a very elegant menu oriented both towards gourmet creations as well as must-see traditional dishes.

You can enjoy Burgundy snails, eggs mimosa, tartare of salmon sea bream and oysters as well as very nice rib of beef, a confit duck leg or a roast turbot and mashed cauliflower with walnut nutmeg without forgetting the essential Paris Brest or homemade profiteroles.

A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY - Yves Montand and Simone Signoret had their very well located table here, with breathtaking views on the square... Les soirs d'été, on peut y ajouter le cliquetis des boules de pétanquess...

THE BONUSES - its very attractive terrace on sunny days makes it a very Parisian, very popular location ideal for family events or among friends."
