The owner refused to honor our Fork reservation. Wanted to shuffle us off to another restaurant around the corner or wait an hour for a seat. Pass on this place. There are better places 50 yards away.

Delicious, authentic french food. Very generous portions, excellent wine. Very quaint, friendly atmosphere. Was a little tight, but that added to the romance.

Reservations were not honored despite confirmation. Sent to truly awful sister restaurant around the corner. Have been a customer at Bistrot d’Henri for 20 years. Major decline in quality. Avoid.

Skip this American ghetto. I booked on the Fork the day before and the owner said he didn't get my reservation, even though I got an email confirmation. The funny thing was another couple came in later and said their hotel had called a week ago to make a reservation, and the owner didn't have that one either! The food was lackluster - worst escargot ever, pork dish was bland, don't bother with the house wine. The tables are so close together that when we left, the couple next to us had to interrupt their dinner so they could stand up and move the table so we could get by. Everyone in the place was American. I think this restaurant is taking advantage of people who read TripAdvisor and think is authentic French food. It used to be better but the quality had declined dramatically. Not recommended!

My steak (ordered Medium-Rare) arrived burnt and dry, and upon request to change it - was told that's how they always make them. Cheese plate - disappointing. Ugly presentation, no fruit/jam/similar as is traditionally served with a cheese platter, no thought to taste variety on the plate.

Do not waste your time booking this restaurant on the fork. It should be removed from their system. We arrived on time, gave the owner our reservation, and received only a quizzical look in return. Here’s the deal. They take reservations from the fork from, I assume, mostly American tourists who base said reservations on favorable reviews they have read elsewhere online. If you show up and there happens to be space available at the time, voila, functional reservation. If you show up and Henri already has a house full of his fellow countrymen, you get turned out into the street. What a joke.

Wonderful food and service. The restaurant had no record of our reservation but managed to seat us anyway. My partner had the flank steak, which was excellent, but the dauphinois potatoes were out of this world. I had the lentil salad, which was imaginatively and deliciously spiced with a bit of horseradish, and some foie gras, which melted like butter in my mouth. For dessert, some cheese, excellent sampling. Would go back happily again and again. I suggest calling for a reservation, though, because the proprietor indicated that online reservations are a problem of some sort for them. It’s a tiny restaurant, so if you don’t have a reservation, go there early!

Delicious. Just what we wanted in classic French food experience. When you're ready to escape from hustle and bustle of overpriced abd crowded tourist places, relax and enjoy this very small hidden gem.

Every time we come to Paris we have to go to Bistrot d’Henri. The food is absolutely fantastic - I highly recommend the lamb cooked 7 hours with plums. The nightly specials are also always fresh and delicious. The service is wonderful. The staff is highly attentive and friendly. While our family speaks French, the restaurant also has menus in English which are well translated (which is not always the case in France).

This little restaurant was the quintessential French restaurant. The menu was extensive Xmas everything that our party ordered was cooked to perfection. It was hot and sticky because they have no air conditioning but it was well worth it.

Just as described busy bistro with good food with great cocktail bar opposite. Unfortunately they did not have our Trip Advisor/Fork reservation so had to wait for table. You don’t go to Paris for the service but even at Parisian levels they were rather jaded - a victim of their own success? Tarts Tartin is always tricky to do well there’s unfortunately proved this point only too well!

We returned to this very nice bistro two years after our last visit and were not disappointed. Very friendly service. Excellent meal, from appetizer to main to dessert. We will be back!

Very unpleasant evening - awful staff, awful food and saw many people who had booked via The Fork being funnelled to other nearby sister restaurants because of ‘an internet problem with The Fork’. Really their tables had been given away, as other reviews have said. Do not visit unless every other restaurant in Paris is closed.

The bistro is wonderful!! Wish the service was more engaging, but that’s the only thing I would change. The food and prices are excellent.
