amazing food! will definitely visit next time in Paris
Great meal !!!!!!!
Absolutely a great place to dine in Paris. With sincere and superb service, outstanding traditional French food and charming ambiance Le Poulet au Pot is a home away from home.
Very good restaurant however found the food menu expensive
the one if the best restaurant in paris !
We had received several recommendations for this place, which has a beautiful atmosphere and presentation of dishes. We had wonderful French onion soup and salad, and then shared the signature "chicken in a pot" dish, which requires a minimum of two people. At 45 Euros each, it was very disappointing - basically very little taste and seemed to be boiled in broth with vegetables and had rubbery skin. At these prices we expected something extremely delicious and memorable. Perhaps the other main dishes were better, but unfortunately this is the only dish we tried.
Restaurant was fantastic - great staff, incredible food. I ‘ve lived in France for over 6 years, and this was one of my top dining experiences!
It was an excellent meal with great service. Definitely the best service in Paris we’ve had, but the prices were also high. The onion soup was delicious. Escargot melted in your mouth. My kids LOVED their shepherds pie (called something else), my hubby’s steak au poivre had an amazing sauce and was cooked to perfection. I had veal with mushrooms. Only disappointment was dessert was just sort of meh.
Best meal I've had in Paris thus far. Thank you for helping us non French speaking tourists out with the menu.
This is a great bistro, one of Paris’ very best. It “feels” right as well as tastes right. Being there is like turning back the clock 60 or 70 years. Don’t miss it—reserve, for sure.
Excellent comme d’habitude
A perfect Dinner in a Cosy Restaurant
This restaurant has changed in the last year since it changed ownership. It was a special place before. That has been lost. Very little chicken which was the speciality and is the name of the place. Menu is smaller and way more expensive. The service is a little cold. Having been there a few times under the former ownership, I will not go back now. Overpriced for food that is fine but not outstanding
Great evening, in an almost fully packed restaurant. We went with the classics; frog legs and duck rilette with Foie Gras for starters and braised rabbit and veal in creme sauce with mushrooms for main courses. We were so full we were unable to eat dessert. Great wine-list, mainly French and at reasonable prices. All in all a great meal if only a bit to the expensive side. Wine quite affordable though...
Excellent food but very slow service. I arrived at 12:45 for a business lunch and needed to leave at 14:00. I was served the main course at 13:45 and did not have the time to have my dessert. Sadly, the staff did not apply any discount as a compensation for the inconvenience of the experience. I was very much looking to discovering this restaurant. I am disappointed.
Best sauce Nantua in years!
The best meal I’ve had in Paris. Great food, great service! A little pricey but definitely worth it. We had onion soup, bone marrow and escargot for starters. We over-ordered but it was because we wanted to taste them all. The onion soup was incomparable! So delicious! Even the bread they gave with the escargot was very tasty. For our main, we shared the Entrecôte which was very filling and so good too. Mashed potatoes and French fries that came with it were great!
