This place is an excellent value for money.
Music(techno) in the restaurant didn’t go well.
I really wanted to take my family to try authentic paella even though we were in Madrid. We have had actual paella in Valencia and in other countries that had an amazing authentic flavor. I had read the reviews and expected something exceptional. There was no soccarat, it was bland and flavorless. I had to add salt and it still didn’t have much flavor... it was truly disappointing. The bread was hard, not fresh... the atmosphere was homey/did not seem touristy (big plus)... but the paella was simply not good. We had the special seafood (especial de mariscos).
Great Paella.....wonderful....strongly recommend !!!
Great / Превосходно
Best paella and service of my recent trip to Madrid
I don’t pretend to be an expert on paella, but whenever I’ve made it or had it in a restaurant, saffron has always been an essential flavoring. It was totally missing and the stock used to cook the rice overwhelmed the other ingredients. We were warned not to order paella in Madrid. In retrospect those warnings were probably right....
Nice and cousy
Best seafood paella yet in Madrid. Service was excellent will certainly return.
Local com ambiente familiar, comida excelente e sobremesa sensacional, super recomendo.
The Paella and Mejillones were very very good. One of the best we have tried. Súper recomendable.
Una padella stratosferica!!!!
The whole experience was great! The wine, food and service was amazing.

C/ Reina, 39, 28004, Madrid, Spain
"It is well worth the throne. The paella is the queen of Spanish cuisine; made by experts it is the queen of the Mediterranean flavour, and if it is located in Reina street, it even deserves a visit from the Spanish monarch. That is why this restaurant is called La Paella de la Reina.
Open since 1989, it offers in its menu over 14 types of Valencian rice dishes with the best preparation. While they prepare it, you can try some of its delicious starters such as prawns in garlic sauce or homemade croquettes, and complement your paella with some of their wines.
Its location, in the heart of Madrid next to the Gran Via, is perfect for a stroll before your visit. The Paella de la Reina is one of those charming places that you won't forget thanks to its flavor. Reserve your table!"
