Excellent cosy little restaurant
Super amables y comimos de 10!
Muy bien
The restaurant is very small and cozy but didn’t feel crowded even with a full house. The food and service were wonderful. We really enjoyed the cod
Muy bien como siempre
Excellent food and service. Warm and friendly atmosphere make us feel very comfortable. The skewered prawns and squid was very delicious, cod fish is outstanding. Staff can speak English very well. Highly recommended!!
Very nice place and dishes! A bit small but dishes are good
Good cuisine and a friendly atmosphere.
Small unpretentious restaurant with very good food and pleasant friendly service. Well situated (if slightly hidden) for museum goers. Worth remembering. I shall come again.
Really nice place. Our host was kind and attentive.
The staff was great and the food very good. The risotto was delicious and the cheesecake super. We enjoyed a lot . The restaurant was small but comfortable
Excelente, el bacalao sencillamente sublime
Fresh fish, everything was really good!!
Small place, good service, great food.
La Malontina was an amazing experience! The food was mouth watering and the service was great! We ordered a few dishes to share and especially enjoyed the risotto and calamari. I would definitely recommend this place. (It is also English friendly!)
Great food and great service!
Wonderful, memorable meal! We were very pleasantly surprised by the Chef coming out to see us and personally serve our meal. After we were done eating, he came out again to ask about how we liked our food and we told him how amazing everything was. My daughters were so happy with their meals that they told the chef they wished the had more. Little did we know, but he brought out more food for each of them to eat. On the house! Amazing food and even more amazing service. What else can you ask for?!
Servicio muy atento y risotto de gulas y gambas espectacular!!
Possibly, the best restaurant in central Madrid. Definitely the best value, as prices are quite reasonable for the very high quality of the food. The restaurant itself is small, but that doesn't make it uncomfortable as there's enough space between tables. It's a cosy but casual atmosphere with great, attentive service. As former residents in this area, we've eaten here four times and will certainly return many more as we've gladly made it part of our routine when visiting Madrid. Chapeau.
Quaint restaurant with fresh food and nice presentation. Off the beaten path. Friendly service and helpful with our minimal Spanish.

"The restaurant La Tragantúa is located in the bohemian neighborhood of Las Letras in Madrid. In its interior, decorated in bistro style, an air of sobriety and elegance is breathed, and creates a pleasant and intimate atmosphere. Its original cuisine is simple and creative at the same time.
In its menu you can find dishes with a mixture of surprising tastes and smells, where the dedication they give to each dish stands out. Among its specialties we highlight their Korean dumplings with chili and sweet sauce or their shitake risotto and boletus. Their desserts overflow with originality.
A cozy atmosphere, a friendly and professional service and a meal with an excellent balance of quality and price: all the elements together to make you feel comfortable and spend an unforgettable evening."
