Second time here, so happy we were able to dine at Kanazawa again! The quality of the fish and ingredients is exemplary. The creativity of the seasonally inspired kaiseki is outstanding. Very flavorful and filling. Gracious, amazing service. I have Celiac and felt incredibly well taken care of each time, which was greatly appreciated. Best kaiseki we have had and thankful we were able to have it twice!

This was a fantastic experience. The personalized service by Chef Paulo, his knowledge and the quality of the food make this a real gem in Lisbon. The experience took us back to our visit to Japan and culinary experience at a Ryokan. This is the real deal!

I enjoyed a spectacular dinner at Kanazawa. The food was outstanding from start to finish. When chef realized that I enjoyed sake, he changed the pairings to a nice selection from wine — great touch. He has some flavors that are interesting, unique and tasty to go along with beautiful fresh fish. I highly recommend.

This was simply one of the best meals I have ever had. I was more than a meal it was an experience where the chefs took great care of us. I cannot recommend this enough.

Excellent meal! We've had the 7 moments and it was very good! The restaurant is small, cozy and with a nice decoration. In fact, it reminded me a wonderful restaurant in Kyoto. The chef Paulo Morais is great! It was the first time I enjoyed the wasabi...this was the real deal and not the usual crap served in the most of Sushi restaurants. The fish was soooo fresh and the sushi was served with the right seasoning "ready to eat". Each piece was different from the previous one and it was difficult to choose what was the best one. It is not cheap, but you pay what you get... and trust me, it is worth it! ????

Creative, unique and as fresh as it can be, the 8-course setting menu could hardly be any better. By far the best Japanese in town. Would love to come back

Beautiful and inventive Kaiseki cuisine produced by a wonderful chef who uses local and seasonal fish and produce. We have had many Kaiseki meals and this was one of the best, better than some Michelin starred restaurants we frequent. The atmosphere is intimate, the sake selections interesting, and the staff incredible. A must visit if you are in Lisbon.

Before going to Kanazawa I was told that even the most "basic" menu would be the best sushi I ever ate: it was true! The initial concerns one might have are swiftly demystified: a) restaurant's space - it's small but, being so close to the chef is full of benefits (besides seeing the dishes being prepared, one can also hear all the stories and explanations that accompany such fine dining). b) insufficient food - during the first few dishes I was worried that I would still be hungry in the end but... I was wrong. That last "tasting moment" not only satisfied me in terms of quantity but also allowed me to eat the best piece of sushi of my life. The superior quality of the fish is as obvious as the chef's skill, niceness and attention to detail - everything looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Topping all of this, as it was my birthday, "sushi master" Paulo Morais offered me a small but really appreciated gift. To improve: exterior signs to clearly identify restaurant. Definitely recommend and want to return!
