We ate at Encoteca La Torre last night (Michelin star rated). The food at Il San Giorgio Di Roma tonight was far better than Econteca La Torre. San Giorgio was one of the best restaurants we have eaten at in the last 5 years across Paris, Chicago, San Francisco, and London. The pasta dish and meat dish I ordered were exceptional, with unique presentation and excellent flavor. The tomato risotto was truly exceptional. Do not miss. Pay a little extra for a cab ride away from the tourist areas and enjoy truly excellent food and wine at Il San Giorgio a Roma. The hostess/staff were attentive, and had great recommendations for both food and wine. Cannot say enough good things!

The location is not very good, but the taste is great. The only problem is that, this is not a place with traditional food. If you are not going to Rome or Italy frequently, you will be surprised and disappointed. If you want to try something out of the common stuff like pasta or pizza, this is the place. Service was great by the way.

The most striking feature of this restaurant is its pervasive originality — starting from how the table was set, to the foods ingredients and presentation. I would definitely recommend it to open minded people who tire of Roman cuisine and would like to experiment.
