The wine was good. Appetizers: I recommend the fried olives, fried cheese and especially the fried zucchini flowers. Pass on the brushetta and the fried rice balls. Entree: The steak came nicely cooked and the grilled vegetables and potatoes were good. Pass: The special: Fish cooked with tomatoes, olives, and capers. What I got was some sort of slab covered in tomato sauce and canned black olives (no capers). At first cut and bite I thought they had mistakenly given me chicken- but it tasted fishy and when I pushed off all of the sauce, it was a slab of fish. Either it was cooked too long, or from frozen. Extremely unappetizing. Pass: gnocchi with tomato sauce and cheese: gummy, not fluffy. Unappetizing. Others around us ordered pizza and carbonara that looked delicious.
Immediate impressions were good for this restaurant. It's located down a quiet side street with plenty of outside seating. Staff knew we had booked our table online before I introduced myself which was a nice touch. Service and food were excellent. We enjoyed everything about our meal. We could take in the atmosphere and were not rushed at all. I would definitely visit again.
Great vibe eating outside. Great wine and portion sizes. Not a complaint but there was a touch too much parmesan served on my main and would rather have had it served separately and the little one didn’t eat hers because of it. Would definitely go back though.
I don't like this restaurant
Delicious fresh food, pleasant service, nice outside patio, great experience...we would surely return! Thank you!
This restaurant was a spontaneous place for dinner and was a very good choice. Food was excellent. House wine recommended. Fantastic desert. Not to noisy. Place recommended
The staff was very welcoming and the food was outstanding. We had a group of five and they accommodated is no problem. Just be prepared to speak up when you're ready for the check. They seemed less attentive after our main course was served. Although, the restaurant had gotten very busy after we were served, so the waiters and waitresses were occupied trying to tend to the other parties just arriving. Overall, it was a good experience and lovely food.
By far the best meal we had in Rome. Delicious spinach ravioli with walnut cream sauce, tender steak. fresh large grilled calamari & roasted potatoes on side. Super flavorful. The service was very fast attentive & polite. Nice outdoor tables & small AC area inside. No view except the wonderful food experience.
Great service and the waiter had some good English banter, there’s a good Irish Bar round the corner too
Everyone at Iari The Vino from host to waitstaff to supports staff was warm and welcoming and professional. The menu selection was extensive, the food was excellent and extremely well-priced, and there was a true "locals" vibe despite the convenient location just 5 minutes walk from the Imperial Fora tourist center. Definitely will be back. Grazie to everyone at Iari for a memorable meal and delightful experience all around!
The food was fantastic and the service was terrific. One of my family members has Celiac and the restaurant was able to accommodate his dietary needs easily. In a city known for pasta, finding a restaurant that could make more than just spaghetti with sauce for him was appreciated. The other non-gluten free meals were flavorful and the portions were just right. The wine list is small but well chosen. We enjoyed the restaurant so much that we dined there twice! Try the steak, penne cotta, pasta with asparagus and shrimp, pasta with butter and crushed red pepper, and fettuccine alfredo.
Lovely food and lovely staff. Would definitely recommend it
I rally liked the feel of the restaurant although Todd the beaten track it felt more relaxing . Food was food and service great
The food was very good and the house wine was perfect! All the servers were really nice and made sure everything was okay with my experience.
Close To Colosseo a quiet place To bave à restaurant
Great staff!! Loved our lunch, great for a midday stop after the Roman Forum!!
Nice uncomplicated little restaurant. Friendly staff and enjoyable pasta!
The food was good, nothing special. The portions were slightly small but you should order both a first and second place so it is a fair amount for the price. They speak multiple languages which is amazing and process different types of payment which is also very useful. We booked on the wrong day, but they found us a place in no time and once we were cold, they gave us cosy blankets. Only negative note, the Bufala mozzarella tasted worse than normal mozzarella even if it was more expensive.
