I already had dinner in Harmsen restaurant two years ago for three times in a week and again this week two times and I always appreciated the proposed daily menu including fresh fish cooked in a modern and healthy way, a starting not conventional soup and an always delicious dessert. Good location close to Rembrandt square, happy atmosphere and kind young service; good draft local beers and a selection of wines and liqueurs are available too.

Great evening. Super service. Portios could be slightly larger, but you cannot complain about quality. Yunis is a top man! The entire group had a great experience.

Lovely little restaurant with a very cosy feel. The staff were very welcoming and provided a very good service. The food was amazing! I had the Brill with Saffron sauce and my partner had the venison. Highly recommended.

Service was great. Waiters were very attentive and pleasant. The food, except for the Buddha bowl, lacked flavor esp. the Vongole linguini. Good wine and beer selection.

Harmsen was absolutely totally delightful, had the three course prix fixe fir 29 euro. The celery root soup with pecans and chorizo was the most incredible soup we have EVER had. We could have stopped our meal then and been totally satisfied. The entrées of monkfish and lamb were amazing, the lamb was the best I’ve ever had. Dessert was a panicotta with raspberry sauce. Wine was reasonably priced. Service was top notch and friendly. We almost thought about canceling our reservation and staying in - so glad we did not. It’s a very limited menu but so worth going to!

Excellent food, variety of choices (including the amazing Menu of the day), great prices. Lovely and varied wine list. When I made my reservation I asked if they could accommodate gluten-free dietary needs, and I received an immediate email from the chef confirming that they could. I found the staff to be very gluten aware. Would recommend to friends and we would visit here again.

Perfect setting upstairs next to an open window. Greeted by a friendly bartender who didn’t hesitate to pour cold local beers. Our server was so pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. Our food was out of this world. The special, buttery halibut, was cooked to perfection and the plaice was delicious too. We walked to this special find and it was well worth it. We made a reservation in advance which was good as it is quite small and it was most certainly full! Hit Harmsen because it is a 10 out of 10!

A wonderful evening made even better by the attention given us by the host (it was a birthday celebration). Food was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Presentation was good too, We all had their 3 course menu for 30 euros which is a truly great value. Great wine list and very well priced. Don't miss out on the friendly place with excellent food

Reception was very friendly and service very quick. Especially the waitress earns the best thanks. Days Theatermenu and wine recommended by her were excellent.

Lamb tenderloin special was a little tough. Seabass special was wonderful. As was the Linguine con Vongole. Without the lamb would have rated it a 5. Service was informal but friendly. Definetly would go back.

Delicious from start to finish from a well executed food menu and wine list. Service was prompt, attentive and effortless. The flavours of each course was delicious, well defined and individual. Recommended and looking forward to returning on a future visit to Amsterdam.
