Could be outstanding, but fell short on that. Service: very nice waitress saved the night, as initially service was awful (stood for long time “abandoned” - no one asked if we wanted something to drink or even brought us the menu). Food: distinctive starters, main courses were good but not as good as our expectation given restaurant ratings
We had dinner on Valentine's day. The 4 course menu was set and 79€ p.p. excl. wines. To be honest the starter was amazing, but the 2nd, and 3rd were disappointing and the dessert was a bit mediocre. Staff extremely polite, but it was poorly organized as multiple people were constantly asking if we needed anything, even if someone else just asked us - quite intrusive. It was odd that all waiters were randomly serving all tables instead of one person serving the same table(s). On arrival we were seated at a table outside of the restaurant area in the walk way Iof the stairs, only after asking ourselves we moved to a free table in the restairant. In my opinion not the quality of service I would expect for the price.
Wonderful food for an incredibly affordable price. Seriously this place deserves a star. The waitress from the USA was one of the best we’ve come across in the world. She’s attentive, sweet, and funny. Highly recommended.
Quite expensive restaurant located on the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Food is excellent as well as service. Price with wine over 45 eur
A bit disappointing to be honest. Everything is efficient but not special. I expected more from the overall rating.
Nice setting and very friendly staff. Cuisine could improve, as some dishes did not meet expectations and lacked coherency.
Your ad did not reveal that this is the restaurant of the Waldorf Astoria. I would have chosen a lower cost restaurant.
Food not as good as expected. It’s in the Waldorf Astoria, so the service is excellent.
Excellent service, they look after you. its relatively small restaurant, main customers would be the one staying in the hotel. we chose the Chef's 4 course menu, we had almost same food as 3 course menu with one surprise menu by Chef. satisfied with the quality of the food, time between the service is little too long. you may want to get some bread to fill in the gap.And the bread if amazing. don't forget to try it..
thank you for the excellent evening!!
Good food. Service with a smile. Atmosphere is still a little ‘hotel-like’ despite efforts to the contrary. Recommended dining.
Perfect, heerlijke lunch in zeer prettige atmosfeer en prima bediening!
The staff is very friendly and professional . The food is excelant. We took the chef menu it was superbe and just perfect
This hotel has been on my bucket list for a while, so it was great to celebrate my 12.50 year anniversary in there Goldfinch Brasserie for dinner on Monday Night 30/10. Team were extremely friendly and pleasant in all areas and our coats were taken at the door of the Hotel and we were escorted to the restaurant where we were again greeted by our waiter. Menus had a great choice and the price was reasonable and not overpriced, quality of food was excellent and service to match, after a relaxing evening ant 2 hrs, I must admit it was well worth the wait.....will be back
Lovely food and service. The wines are expensive but good selection. Definitely a place to go back to
