Everything was absolutely of the high standard we have learnt to expect from Fouquet's. The welcome, service, food make it a must for me when I visit Paris.

It was not the Fouquets I remember from before. Now more like a tourist attraction.

The reception staff is not polite. I was surprised with her cold and negligent attitude.

The food and service were amazing. One of the best meals we had in Paris. I had the beef fillet with mashed potatoes and it was delicious. The beef was very tender. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. He recommended a wonderful bottle of red wine which we enjoyed. The restaurant is beautiful inside.

When we booked our reservation we did so at 6:00 to allow for a nice dinner before a show. What we were not told was that we would only be allowed a "snack menu" and would have to sit in the bar area instead of the regular menu and dining room. That was a big disappointment considering we had great expectations for the evening. In spite of that, our server was very good and we enjoyed his interaction.

Despite confirmed reservation by the Fork and a live call explaining the diner as pre-wedding the street receptionists were unable to find the reservation, noting that one of the guest was already there ! Waiter need to get a shower not all customer enjoy nor like “unwarranted cumin and onion sweat smell” while served. Wine menu for economy purpose to avoid reprint has no year but neither server nor maître d’ were influenced and able to provide infuriation. It toons 10 minutes with server stating to find out but then went to another table, without providing the information. Entrees were order but one guest had to wait 10 minutes to get a cold “Maine lobster” as Parisian Homard served: the waiter by his own wrong listening, understanding decided to drop the order! Unprofessional services with meat served almost cold as were too the “bar” (Atlantic sea bass) and the Dover sole. Which was not properly prepared side table and cold to such extent that Maître d’ had to take the plate back to prepare the sole in kitchen. Really shoddy and unacceptable service and kitchen work for a restaurant that had high price, but a lot of training, huge opportunities of bettering to achieve the level of a decent competitors, that offer not only cheaper but much higher service, food quality and overall experience. Very disappointing and sub standard. Even ice creams were filled with clusters of water ice that come with cold storage improperly running as ice melt, de-ice and re-freeze, crepes Suzette’s were prepared side table but far from the way it should be. Ready cold crepes already folded, thick, without proper deglazed mix of fresh squeezed Iran’s and lemon, with slow heated butter with turbinado sugar gently melted and browned using the fresh orange and lemon half’s to caramélisés, then adding the light crêpes to flambée with a mix of Cointreau and Grand Marnier simmered in the juice to coat the crepes. The outcome was part burned blackened mushy crepes and part cardboard. Upon paying Maitre d’ and server did not enquire of our experience: probably aware and already having earful knowledge of their failure. Fouquet's did not provide value for the price and for the prétention it claims. Management should step in and get more serious on many aspects. Especially after reopening recently there was opportunities to reassess, fix and retrain many aspects that failed.

While a bit overpriced, the atmosphere, service, and food quality and presentation make up for the price. You cannot help but feel special at Fouquet’s. You are even welcomed with a red carpet! If you are in Paris, you must go!

O “linguado” que serviram era insípido e incomível. O bife razoável. A tarré tátil boa.
