Excellent table in Geneva and certainly one of the most creative one. Choice on the menu is limited but renewed every 6 weeks which suits me well. Welcome and service is on par. Highly recommended overall.
We came into the restaurant not knowing quite what to expect as some of the reviews had been mixed . But how wrong they were. From the moment we sat down the service was personal and exemplary . Just enough attention with out being intrusive . The advice on the meal and wines was constructive and not pushy and we went for the 5 course meal and added the wine pairing . We also had a champagne to start and a ‘house’ vodka to finish . We were there in total about 3 hours and never felt rushed . The food, including the appetisers ( there were several extra free tasters between the courses ) was exceptional . The oyster was amazing and the venison literally melted . The creativity of the courses and the mixture of tastes made it an experience not just a meal. I would highly recommend the restaurant for a special occasion and we will return the next time we are in a Geneva .
The staff was great, food was incredible, and very accommodating, really delicious seafood platter, get the 4or 5 course chef’s choice meal If you can
Creative, delicious, scandinavian-inspired dishes that we all thoroughly enjoyed. The wine list is excellent and we loved the two different pinot noirs from Graubunden that we ordered.
We have spent a great time at the Fiskebar. The inspiration menu was great, each dish was a culinary delight. We have enjoyed our experience very much and look forward to some more!
Fantastique
Fiskebar has been our favourite restaurant in Geneva since it opened. Yesterday we had the five dish signature menu and they were all great. Fresh ingredients, innovative presentation of the dish especially the monkfish swept in red was a wonderful tasting surprise. We also had wine pairing and none of the wines disappointed us. Most if not all were natural wines. We liked the bold pairing of a light red wine with the monkfish ! And the dessert with mirabelles was fresh and tasty and not full of sugar. The interior in Fiskebar is aesthetically to our taste, understated luxury with famous Danish ceramics and Scandi furniture.
Both food and service was excellent. Really impressed with what they are trying to achieve - some dishes such as the Monkfish main course and "Corn" dessert really push the boundaries in both skill and flavour combinations. We have been to many Michelin star restaurants which are not as good as this!
This is a great place. Food is imaginative and tasty. Service is great even though there is no real need for the speech about eco consciousness. Settings are in tune with Scandinavian minimalism, very appropriate for a Fiskebar. We were lucky to get a table with a view of the lake as there are not so many. When it comes to value for money, never forget this is Geneva i.e. an island of high prices in the country of high prices.
We were pleasantly surprised to be offered the chef’s table and it didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed five scrumptious courses that were artfully presented. And oh the fresh burnt cream butter was out of this world. I’ve never tasted anything like it. Above and beyond expectations!
Food was good, although nothing outstanding
Wonderful attentive service without being intrusive. Delicious food. Server recommended dishes which were not the most expensive lol. The bread and homemade butter were to die for. Highly recommended
A very nice evening with great food. The service seemed a little over-eager at times, full marks for ready-to-jump (and sell) waiters. Unfortunately the venue in a five star hotel takes away the edgyness/creative vibe of the “mothership” in Copenhagen.
Parfait!
Very disappointing
Merci ????
