Worth a visit for the pineapple in Madeira alone.

The food was very average. The sauce in our fish stew lacked flavour. When the waiter asked us half way though the meal how it was and we said it wasn’t great, he just ignored us. The house wine was poor. The staff weren’t the most friendly. The meal cost us €60 and was the worst and most expensive meal of our holiday.

This is a terrific restaurant. Excellent food and service. Many Americans and Brits seem to have found it on Trip Advisor and it really is a good dining experience.

Great experience tonight with wonderful food and service. We were looking for traditional cuisine and setting and Farol is certainly the perfect fit

Overall a good restaurant as the food, service and ambiance are above par. The appetizers and entrees are well portioned and tasty, the service is attentive and a quaint dining area provides a nice setting to enjoy your meal. Our group of seven enjoyed mussels, octopus salad and a charcuterie board for appetizers followed by entrees ranging from grilled octopus to the stews for two cooked in copper pots. While the food was good, there was nothing spectacular about any of the dishes. You won’t leave hungry but I don’t know that there was anything memorable enough for me to call this a “must return to” place.

Great find in the Alfama district of Lisboa. Excellent food and attentive service. The place can be noisy as it fills rapidly. Don’t forget to make a reservation for dinner or you won’t get in

We went to this restaurant looking for some authentic Portuguese food after arriving in Lisbon the day after our engagement. Food and wine was delicious, service was amazing, and prices were very reasonable. We would absolutely go back here anytime.

A great experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. If you could also serve wine in glasses and not only bottles it would be perfect.

Simple food but big portions. Very limited wine selection and only one white and red by the glass. They just served appetizer without informing it costs 3.90eur
