    Really nice food, the duck confit was excellent, as was the grilled octopus. We also enjoyed the tomato carpaccio starter. Great wait staff and really nice atmosphere.

    The waiter was kind and apologetic, but the food was mediocre and incredibly delayed. It took more than one hour for the octopus salad to arrive, and the second appetizer just never came. The entrees came more than 2 hours after arriving, and were underwhelming. Expected much more...

    It wasn't really busy but we had to wait for the lone staff on duty to seat us. The menu offers quite a variety from each of the sections. I opted for the lobster cream with chunky shrimp to start. Was served with a large soup bowl with two de-shelled prawns and fried shrimp heads and the soup slowly poured over. Taste for me was just right but might be a little bland for the usual liking. Braised beef cheek was perfect tenderness for me and duck confit with a crispy outter layer and nicely flavored thigh. Ordered three item from the dessert section: Blueberry cheese cake, bread pudding served with hazzelnut ice-cream and mojito with lime-foam. Bread perfectly fried dipped in "hazelnut soup" completed the dinner experience at Ex Libris.
