A rare pearl among our careful selection of the best addresses right now

our favourite restaurant in Amsterdam!
Way too slow! It was 45 minutes between courses. Loved the food but we were next to a table with 6 really loud men (the restaurant was totally full)(not the restaurant’s fault) and it was torture waiting the very very long time between courses. We finally left before desert as we couldn’t stand it anymore. We really liked the food and the decor and the people were very nice. But it was a bad experience. Would try again in hopes that they could speed it up.
We didn’t know what kind of restaurant it was , so it was a completely surprise. Nice people, high cuisine dishes, and a very special environment! It was awesome! Very recommended!
Heel lekker ... Very good quality/price ... I definitely recommend it!!! Fish or meat both delicious!!! We went with friends and enjoyed it!!
Excellent food, the effort that went into the presentation was very evident, each dish was something special and very well explained by the staff. Would highly recommend.
Loved the amazing food, the wines, the friendly staff. All in all a must “go-to”. One minor comment is the acoustic was not that good in the restaurant.
Wonderful restaurant for a special occasion, we were impressed with the food and had a great time. Bib Gormand well deserved.
Very romantic restaurant with excellent service and delicious food. The ambience was perfect and our service was provided by the owner, which really added to the experience. We will be back! Perfect choice for a romantic dinner for 2.
Stellar service, innovative and delicious food, pleasant location. I would like to especially emphasize the service -- a large group of us (around 10) descended on the place last-minute with only a reservation for 5, but they were very nice and accommodated us in the outdoor seating (which is shaded and very quiet), offering us the chef's 5-course menu, and with a vegetarian option. As the evening got colder, they even brought us blankets. I really appreciate the effort to accommodate us, and wishing the best to this business!
Tuna tartar with mango was great. We had also cod which was wonderfull. And a great surprise was the cheese cake. This was not the classic one but it was more than snoven expectation! Terrific!! What a passion by both owners( chef and wife) congrats!
The entire experience was wonderful and the best dining experience I’ve ever had! Everyone at our table raved about each course; the presentation and taste of each dish was beautifully memorable and delicious. I hope to come back to Amsterdam, and if I do, this will be my first choice for dinner!!
beautiful food, great service, nice pairing wines and easy to get to with a tram station located just outside the restaurant. Intimate atmosphere.
Good food, Nice service and location.
Really good food, starter was exceptional
The food is amazing, although most of the plates have small dots of mashed potatoes/beetroots... Or else. Everything is very tasty and well seasoned, this is definitely of great value for the price! The staff was ok, not too much efforts
Food of a restaurant with twice the price and prestige, very nice presentation of each dish and every detail tasted right (and a lot). Nice selection of dishes. Good wine list, also with many high value picks. Perfect service, presented each dish meticulously, contributing to a friendly atmosphere, nothing felt stiff, instead warm and relaxed.
An exceptional meal with a great bottle of wine, that was finished off with a dleightful conversation with the chef. Plus the service was top-notch.
We had the Chef's Five-Course Menu, and it was so good and well-presented. We also opted to have the the matching wines for each course. I highly recommend this restaurant, and a great value for the money.
good servise. weird dessert.
From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess. The friendly hostess got our coats and we sat down on a table for three people. We were asked if we wanted to start off with an apéritif, and of course, how can you say no to a glass of cava! The menu was well explained to us (they just received the Bib Gourmand accolade again) and it was clear that they choose to work with season ingredients. The wine menu was varied, with old world and new world wines, and the prices accessible to everyone. They seem to focus on having unique wines that are not your typical day to day wines like the One Man Band we ordered, from South Africa. We all ordered the four-course menu and started off with an amuse bouche on the house. There is a variety of cold and warm starters, from dorade with a jalapeño sauce to pork cheek. For main course, I chose the venison in a clove sauce. Venison has its own very unique character but with the combination of ingredients, it was just perfect for an autumn evening. My partner had the truffle and ricotta tortellini and my mother in law the bavette. All in all, the dishes were beautifully presented, full of colors and very flavorful. It's been a long time since I have finally found a restaurant were value off money and the service is top notch! I'll definitely be back!

A hidden pearl in Asmterdam
Situated at one of the most beautiful spots in Amsterdam with a view of the Tropenmuseum. In this cosy restaurant you enjoy a wonderful lunch or an elaborate dinner that consists of French-medditerean dishes paired beautifully with great wines.
