Excellent lunchtime meal with attentive service and fantastic dishes. Really recommend the blueberry soufflé though all the courses were good.
Thee quality of the food is excellent! Plus I was the kitchen's nightmare with a list of foods I do not eat, yet they accommodated everything with grace. Wait staff went above and beyond, every detail showing care and thought for our comfort. Beautiful view. A lovely experience.
Particularly thanks to João for making all the special requests happen. From the food, view of Lisbon, staff, and wine recommendations, everything was great. Would definitely go back and highly recommend this restaurant.
Having spent lunch at Belcanto, the comparison may not be fair... but it clearly one notch down in terms of food/presentation and two notches down in terms of service (slow and uncoordinated). It remains a fantastic place, all is relative.
The restaurant location is perfect. Sitting high on a hilltop at the end of a long beautiful park, overlooking the old city of Lisbon all the way to the river. Everything about the service was perfect. The staff was just delightful and efficient. You never felt their presence, but they were there every time you need them. The rhythm of the ordeal was also perfect. They don't rush you and never leave you waiting for too long. The meal itself was magnificent. Every dish is perfectly balanced, beautiful and full of flavour. The size of the dishes and the total amount of food is also perfect. Can't stress enough what an amazing experience. Certainly one of the top three culinary experiences we've ever had.
Unbelievable location. Fantastic food. Great service. Wine was delicious. Fair price for top quality food. Would recommend to anyone. Would definitely come back.
The matridee and the waiters were very kind, affable, and even helped to celebrate my wife's birthday. However, the service was a bit off, especially at the beginning. I had to ask for the wine and tea twice, and they took a very long time between visits to the table to see if we needed water. Compared to other Michelin-star restaurants, I would say that the attention to service is a bit lacking. The one exception was the matridee who was really attentive and ingratiating. She was fantastic. The food was good and very interestingly presented, but I would say that the foie gras was not as flavorful as I would have expected (I've had much better foie gras in a typical Parisian restaurant), though it was inventive and elegant in its presentation (the different textures and flavors of the accompanying compote were also a plus). Overall I would rate this to be a good experience and would recommend it, but would caution that the value for quality and experience is not quite there.
lovely food, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Would recommend and definitely worth a visit. Some unusual dishes, and even out kids aged 12 and 13 enjoyed their first experience in a Michelin Restaurant
The restaurant does not deserve any star. In the past it lost its Michelin star but recovered somehow. The bad news is it will lose it again. When I booked the restaurant for my birthday I was careful enough to ask if I could bring my own wine. The lady on the phone said if the wine were not in the menu, they wouldn't charge it, and if it were they would charge $25 for the cork fee. In the end, they charged me $80 euros. When I explained to the sommelier, he told me she did a mistake and the fee depends on the wine, because I brought an expensive one the fee would be accordingly. This is bad!! Only restaurants that are in bad economic situation do this kind of thing!! You can see by the outside and inside looks that the space needs renovation. Therefore people, avoid it!! There are other good restaurants in Lisbon. Try "Seen" for a nice view and good service. Also the quality of the food is "so so". Nothing that deserves attention. A "bibi gourmand" would be more appropriated.
Exceptional service from the moment we walked in. Perfect dishes. All round amazing experience. And loved the gift that we left with. Thank you
The restaurant was a nice experience. The food was, however, to my understanding not as creative/excellent as the price and star would suggest. The service was OK, albeit the mood in the restaurant feeling a little depressed.
Very elegant presentation with lots of different tastes of authentic Portugese cuisine. Service was outstanding. We had the Atlantic tasting menu. The view was outstanding and made for a nice walk to the restaurant!
Excellent sevice, food and place.
This restaurant was great. The service, the menu itself - you could not do better. It was also possible to change one of the dishes in the menu against another one due to allergic reasons of one ingredient included.
The food was extremely tasty, well presented with fresh ingredients. The service from the waiters was also very good. However, we were very disappointed by two things (that almost jeopardized the whole experience): the clear lack of experience of the waiter that offered the wine list and explained the different options (from his accent, he was Brazilian as my wife and myself; he didn’t even serve us a sip for tasting before serving the wine, very basic mistake for a Michelin starred restaurant! After that basic mistake, he forgot to remove the unused wine glasses from the table, another basic mistake). The other part of the service that disappointed us was the long wait (longer than 20 min from the amuse bouche) before the main dish was served and also a 15 min wait for the dessert (which, according to restaurant request, we ordered before the appetizer was served).
Staff were very attentive to us and welcoming. There was a loud table on the evening that we went and the staff were very apologetic about it. Food was wonderful definitely worth a visit if you are in Lisbon
Excellent experience with an amazing view
Grossly overpriced restaurant. It feels like there is no identity, like a very generic place with medium- service quality and no coherence in the sequence of the dishes. Given the price, I recommend to avoid it.
Just a bit expensive....but the food and wine on the tasting menu was lovely.
