Great dining experience. Love the lamb and pork asado. Prefect crisp skin and succulent, moist tender meat. Huge portions for us. Best bread in over 3 weeks during our trip to Spain. Service was outstanding. Recommend one make a reservation. The place was packed. Loved the complimentary after dinner drink of a coffee liqueur...just wish I knew what the liqueur was. Top notch experience.

I went there for the cochinillo. It was ok, like the rest of the meal, but far from extraordinary. A bit expensive.

AMAZING! Excellent service, great value for the amount of food, and the food was SO GOOD. I won’t need to eat for a day or two- salad, goat cheese and foie gras, suckling pig, it was just all so delicious and wonderful. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

Pleasant evening in an off the beaten track restaurant. Drinks before hand in the small bar. Spirit measures were very generous. Suckling pig and lamb, although a tad salty, was thoroughly enjoyed and a must try. A little hidden gem.

We were in Madrid for a few days. We wanted to try Cochinillo Asado and didn't want to necessarily have it at Boton, which is the oldest constantly operatingr estaurant in the world and also famous for this dish. We only had a short time. We ordered the basics. Cochinilla Asado, salad for 2, 4 glasses of wine. The dish was wonderfully done and the serving was ample to the point that we skipped dessert. Nice bread. Complimentary sausages at the start. "CA" came with potatoes, which went very well with the dish and plenty of juice for dipping. My wife got a rib portion I received a leg portion which gave us a good combination. The salad was basic green salad with onion and tomato with a light oil/vinegar dressing. It was perfect. Complimentary aperitif at the end was a great cap to the meal. For 2 the bill was 76 euro. We were VERY happy that we made the visit. The wait staff was on point. Just be aware that they don't make any real attempt to speak English - BUT they were very attentive through out,

We’ve been in Madrid since Thursday and this has been the best meal to far. Just delicious, and the service was fabulous. Not only is the suckling pig divine but so much as the service !!My hub loves chocolate for desert and there was non on the menu: our waiter came along with 2 spoons and the about 10-15 mins later a chocolate fondant pudding arrived! Do put this restaurant on your must do list!

Wonderfully friendly atmosphere in both bar and restaurant. Just an outstanding fun evening. Maybe one of the most flavorful meals I have ever been served. From salad to roast lamb , suckling pig, to a heavenly molten cake. What a way to end a visit to Madrid. Classic hospitality at its best.

We were excited to try El Senador as people in our group were disappointed with their last visit to Botin. . As soon as our party of 6 entered the restaurant, the bartender welcomed us. As he poured our cocktails & we all laughed as we tried ordering with our limited Spanish. . Caesar our waiter, was very good with our ordering, we were impressed how he order just the right amount of food for us. The suckling pig & suckling lamb were fantastic, as were the lamb chops & duck, everything was cooked to perfection & absolutely delicious!! What an wonderful foodie evening!! We will be back on our next trip

Bread was not free so remember to decline it (though the waitstaff putsbin on the plate as you are seated). Cochillon was good with crispy skin but the meat was a bit bland. Pricey for an okay meal.

A traditional restaurant offering a warm welcome, classic excellent service and first class food. Well known for its suckling pig (cochinillo), there are many other delicious dishes available including fish. For me a meal here is a must when visiting Madrid. Booking recommended,
