Xavier Franco es uno de los mejores chefs de su generación. Ha demostrado su maestría en restaurantes propios, como Saüc, donde ganó una estrella MICHELIN, y ajenos. Ahora asesora D’Aprop, que en castellano significa ‘de cerca’. Un nombre apropiado para un establecimiento que interpreta la gastronomía catalana de forma contemporánea y con productos de proximidad, como el aceite de oliva extra virgen del Montseny, los huevos de Calaf y las ostras del Delta del Ebro. Está en el Yurbann Passage Hotel & Spa, donde ocupa un espacio amplio y cálido que incluye una barra donde picar algo mientras bebes una copa. Los platos están ejecutados por Rubén Guilera, hombre de confianza de Franco, que sigue del recetario tradicional aportándole juegos de contrastes, colores y sabores.

    Out of six dishes five were very nice. The pork was well cooked crispy skin but the salt was overwhelming. Leaving just a taste of salt. When mentioned, was told that the Catalans like salt. Disappointing.

    Nice restaurant with seemingly very competent staff. The dishes were small/medium in size but tasted great and were presented well. The total tab was around €60 for two persons; each with a glass of wine, a bottle of water to share, a started to share and two mains.

    Food and service are excellent! Quiet ambient. Kitchen closes at 23. So bad idea booking a table at 22:30.
