We were warmly greeted and the service, especially Mr. Anwar, was exceptional. I had rigatoni carbonara and it was as good, and probably better, than any I’ve ever had. My 2 guests had turbot and a seafood gnocchi and both were excellent. The bread they served was fresh, warm and tasty. They brought us a dish of olives and mozzarella with, what I would call, a fried bread bruschetta that were all outstanding. We did not order desert, so they gave us a plate of biscotti that was so good. They are located on a very quiet, small piazza about 100 yards from Campo di Fiori. I don’t understand why they don’t have a Michelin star.
Simply divine! Service is impeccable. Fiod is extraordinary and it was a very special night indeed. We will definitely go there again just to experience once more this great and gallant servic. We had a carpaccio and frois gras as a starter and then salti in bocca and guiney foul as main. Tarte te tain and ganache as dessert but the restaurant gave us mozzarella di bufala and bread and olives to start with and also crustini, pandoro and chocolates after the secobd course. Wine list is vast and we tried some particular and special wine too. Anyway loved every minute of this restaurant.
Service and food excellent . Pricy but in line with restaurant feel. Next to French embassy in a nice square. Had a good tine. Would recommend if price is no problem.
Perfect restaurant. It was very tasty and pleasantly. We liked this restaurant very much. We are going back soon. We have a very nice impression!
This is the best restaurant in Rome. I’ve been there 4 times in the last 3 years and every time has been excellent. The owner always comes to our table, the food is excellent, the service spot on. If your ever in Rome you will really enjoy the experience.
Beautiful old-school Italian restaurant. High quality.
veramente troppo caro!
Great food, service and a most enjoyable experience.
Place was nice, service was good, there was a guy playing guitar the music was wonderful. Food was good, not exceptional but really nice
Everytime it’s perfect....
Assolutamente da provare
This was my fourth time there and it never disappoints. First time for my friend and he was overwhelmed. Beautiful setting, great, friendly service and of course the food was spectacular.
In a romantic setting on the Piazza Farnese (our first meal in Rome), my wife and I had high expectations after receiving a recommendation from a family friend. Our appetizers, a lobster salad and shrimp puff zucchini blossoms, looked lovely and we had to take photos. The lobster salad was very refreshing, but the zucchini blossoms (which I normally love) had little flavor and needed seasoning. My lobster main course met my already high expectations. My wife's sea bass was nicely flavored, although possibly a little overdone. We loved the ambiance and friendly service, but our food experience was good but not otherworldly.
Not honest. When we made the reservation through thefork, it indicated that we were entitled for a 20% discount on à la carte menu, including drinks, and set menu not included. Thefork confirmed our reservation for seven people, so did Restaurant Camponeschi. All of us ordered à la carte menu. However, they refused to give us the 20% discount with the excuse that the discount does not apply because we were more than two people. Were were very disappointed with them for not being honest.
Great food, great service. Definitely will return again
Excellent experience, waiters were very friendly and spoke good English, the 20% was taken off without having to ask.
Great food & surroundings! Generous provisions of pre-dinner eats & after dinner sweets. However the music was a bit too loud & erratic.
The food was overpriced but good, the room was cold and the Maitre D was more concerned how he looked rather than show an interest in paying customers. We would not go back.
