Easy to reserve, beautiful setting very stylish and safe neighbourhood. Delicious food, happy hour until 7pm. Best profiteroles ever, although one was stale! Would recommend and return on next trip to Paris.
Great last night in Paris! Staff was awesome. Food delicious. Loved the variety on the menu. All 7 of us loved our meals. Would definitely go back.
We arrived in Cafe Latin with hopes of a nice meal after seeing all the great reviews, expecting a great experience there, but unfortunately that was not the case. We were seated in a table of choice, facing the street, by a waiter who seemed to be way too familiar with me and my wife, constantly saying “Hey you,” and calling us “girls”. After receiving the menu, we had no breathing room. He stood next to us waiting for us to order as we both uncomfortably read through the menu until he got the hint and said “maybe I should let you see the menu?”, then proceeding to explain all the dishes of the day instead of, well, letting us see the menu. Once we ordered the appetizer, it came cold, and when I complained about the fish being cold, the potatoes being cold and hard, and the butter being basically frozen, he proceeded to condescendingly “explain” to me that only main courses are hot, and if I did not know, appetizers are served cold, even though when pointed out his own menu, he had to name several other hot apps, just not the ones we wanted. Trying not to stir up anything, my wife and I decided to eat the fish cold, but not only it was awful temperature wise, it was completely drenched in oil and flavourless. Skipping over to the mains, my wife ordered the steak, medium rare, which came back medium well, flavourless, and chewy. After bringing it up to the waiter, I felt him become increasingly hostile and annoyed at our presence, and both me and my wife were feeling quite uncomfortable at the time. I ordered the curry, which was also bland and oily, but I decided just not to finish it instead of having to complain again. The only redeeming meal was the homemade tiramisu, which had no spectacular qualities to it, it was just good for us having something that wasn’t bad for once. We ordered one coffee, they brought two, which isn’t an issue but shows the lack of attention from the waiter to us by the end of the meal. I would personally not return or recommend Cafe Latin, as my experience was very disappointing and I would not ever willingly repeat it.
Came in with 13 people and were served immediately. Our waiter was excellent and food was good for fair price for the area.
Good food and good service. We asked if they had gluten free bread, the waiter first said no but come back shortly after, with some bread, he went to the hotel next door to get some.
Good service, decent food and wine. Reasonably priced.
Everything about Cafe Latin was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, and the servers were incredibly kind and quite funny. Out of all the places I’ve visited in Paris, this is the one I will come back to. No comparison; if you want a nice but casual night out, go here.
The staff were attentive and accomodating., the food delicious and the ambiance warm . Great for out of town guests visiting close to the Latin Quarter.
A classic Parisian ambiance with fantastic food and service. An excellent place to eat when in the Latin quarter.
They sing very well. We had good experience. Very nice foods.
Cafe Latin has mastered the old-world charm of the local French eatery. The atmosphere is calm and laidback, the service is friendly and attentive, and the food? Fantastic. Whether you're seeking rich and decadent or light and flavorful, I have a feeling that Cafe Latin's food will satisfy any craving.
Such friendly staff and great atmosphere. We had a great evening and would certainly recommend it.
Really good food with good choice available on the menu. Staff were great, thy had good banter. Prices were really good considering where it is and the standard of food served
Café Latin looks great from outside. Lots og Atmosphere. Okay Meny for new year but the waiter was unfriendly and rushed the order event pre ordered. We were om the Street agter Two hoursand tree courses om new year without a comment or gesture. Paid 140euro for Two persons. Menu OK put together but a little blend in flavor.
What a great neighborhood gem! Very cute and charming and delicious food! I would love to come back again
In the heart of St Germain but off the beaten path providing convenience of access and cool neighborhood while at teh same time allowing for comfortable conversation and reasonable privacy. Food was good and service fast. Not the cheapest place around but for service and quality this remains fair. Portions could be more generous but overall I am very satisfied with Cafe Latin and feel it is a safe bet. I will gladly return in the future.
Nice friendly place. Servers quick and fun. Our muscless were fresh , flavor and a lot of them.
Great find. Our group of 8 all enjoyed the hospitality and food. The mussels in curry sauce and the duck were particularly delicious. Thanks. We will definitely return.
The server was very rude. The food was pretty good. Good serving size and reasonable.
Nice meal, slow service.
