I am almost reluctant to tell people about this restaurant. The food was outstanding, and the value was simply incredible. (45 Euros for three course meal; 60 Euros for Menu Degustation.) Everyone was extremely welcoming, and the service was both warm and efficient. And although the restaurant is tiny and the day was hot, a cool breeze from the back door through the front made it very comfortable. Strongest possible recommendation.

A unique and wonderful surprise. Japanese-influenced small plates crafted to perfection. Truly attentive and thoughtful service. Accommodated my husband’s vegetarian needs no problem. I wish we could have gone back before our time in Paris and Lyon was over!

The chef's-choice tasting menu (Menu dégustation) was an absolutely delicious meal and, at 60 euros, an outstanding value (3 exquisite amuses-bouches, a starter, a fish, a meat, and dessert). I couldn't have been more delighted with the quality of this meal. The chef is an artist.

Great food and attentive service only negative part of the meal was another very loud rude table in a small space.

This place was AMAZING! It’s tiny and intimate and you can literally see the chef cooking right from your table. And the server was also the greeter. He took great care of us, walking through the options of the three course meal with choices or the chef’s whim. Our party took the three course, but the chef even threw in an extra appetizer for each of us that complemented exactly what we ordered! The food is French with a little Japanese flare, since the chef is Japanese. The wagyu beef was flavorful and tender, the veal was juicy and large, and the duck melted in my mouth (yes, we all shared samples). Dessert was excellent including marscopone ice cream and a white chocolate mousse. Wine selection was equally incredible. All around amazing French experience for our stay. Great pick!

Absolutely superb restaurant that I cannot speak highly enough of. I was slightly concerned because we were the first diners there, but the place filled up as the evening went on. It was the first time I ‘d been served oyster as an amuse bouche. It was delicious, and I don’t even like oysters. The pigeon here is the best I’ve ever had, even better than dishes I’ve had at Michelin-starred restaurants. The head chef was completely switched on, making sure we were being served in addition to cooking of course (it’s a cosy place). He even came around with the card reader at the end, and it was lovely chatting to him.

Botan has very imaginative Japanese - French cuisine, the staff is extremely pleasant and speaks an impressive number of languages (ENG, FR, JAP, etc..). We had an extremely pleasant experience having a menu which had excellent price-quality rapports. On top of this, they offered us a very tasty cake to note my wife's birthday! We will certainly be returning to try their degustation menu on another occasion. To be recommended. ps: I have a feeling that the other guests also really enjoyed themselves - a couple of Japanese businessmen who had a lot of good wine, and three other couples.
