Booked this restaurant for my partners birthday whilst in Madrid, perfect every step of the way from booking and confirmation to the service and food! Really cool place and definitely paying another visit when next in Madrid.

Lovely interior and setting but that’s the only compliment I can give unfortunately 1 wrong dish brought to the table so 1 of our group had to wait for their correct dish to be made up and served, 2 steak dishes had to be sent back because they were stone cold in the centre and 3 side dishes didn’t turn up I don’t think I have come across a hostess so rude and not one bit apologetic for the wrong order and stone cold food that was served and our group of 8 was told to quieten down 2-3 times for talking to loud apparently The icing on the cake was when the hostess brought out a plate saying Happy Birthday with a candle that I had requested for the occasion and she basically threw the plate onto the table in front of us and walked off Actually shocked because I had read so many good reviews and we was all looking forward to that meal

Incredible atmosphere. If you are able to get a tour and learn the incredible history or the building.. do it! The food was top quality and everything was delicious. This is a hidden gem!

This was my second time at this restaurant. Great food, honest ingredients, and a fair wine selection. The Torrija is absolutely decadent. Estupendo!

The food is great, and the service excellent as well. Served promptly, all at the same time. All the dishes we tried were cooked to perfection, octopus superb, hake , oxtail.... just as good. Many congratulations to the Chef. We shall return for sure. We did not understand the charge for bread ( 2 € per head) weather you want bread or not. All in all very good.

Globaly amazing. The food is not sophisticated but everything is very very good. A little bit too spicy for the third tartare of the "trilogy" but overall a very nice experience. The atmosphere is charming and ideal for couple diner and/or any event, date, birthday, seductive time, etc. Also the team is very nice and service is perfect. You can order the full menu because portions are reasonable. Nothing very "heavy" as we could experience it ! To discover absolutely...asap...

About the restaurant

"Shhhh... it is a secret. One of those addresses which, as happens with good secrets, is difficult to keep to oneself. As we don't know how to keep almost any secrets, here you are: Bodega de los Secretos restaurant is at San Blas Street number 4, in Barrio de las Letras neighborhood in Madrid, and it is an old wine cellar of the Napoleonic times with a fantastic kitchen, enclosing within its walls passageways, alcoves and other stories that we invite you to discover.

The old walls of stone, modern decor, avant-garde Mediterranean cuisine and its mysterious atmosphere form an unbeatable quartet in the historical Madrid, meters from the houses where two illustrious of our literature, Cervantes and Quevedo, lived. Aren't you already tasting those artichokes with foie gras or the hake with squid stew?

Will you be able to keep the last secret? In the Bodega kitchen desserts of unmatched appearance and the best taste are prepared.. oh wait... don't share the secret yet! Book and try it first!"
