Since it was an open kitchen we could see the chef putting spoons and utensils in his mouth, placing it in a container and than reusing it. I’m sure there was some liquid in it, hopefully with 90% alcohol, but it was not a nice thought that the items were put on a plate with utensils that had been in someone else mouth. Personally I even don’t reuse spoons that I used to taste dishes when cooking for the family, if I have to taste again or stir I will get a clean one, that has been washed in the dishwasher. Given that it often takes a certain amount of time and contact for disinfectant agents to work, I would highly recommend changing this custom. Serving staff was friendly

Ordered the five course meal. Everything was fantastic except the main course - the steak. A lot of tendons and most of it couldn’t be eaten. The chef came out to apologise though not so apologetic, I guess that’s why he’s the chef and not a waiter which would understand customer service a bit better. All in all a satisfactory experience though disappointing that the steak which was probably the most expensive part of the meal was a let down.

Just not my sort restaurant for a special meal. This is a ‘concept’ restaurant where there is really only a tasting menu. The dishes are presented beautifully, so great if you Instagram but if you are hungry not so great. No vegetable sides (6 peas came with my roast beef) or potatoes of any sort. The best thing was actually the bread! The ordering process is confusing because of menu layout, but our waitress was excellent, helpful and patient. They also coped very well with my no dairy requirements. Ambiance ok for a modern hotel and at least we were out of sound distance from the very noisy bar area and it’s boomimg music. Disabled access not brilliant and the lift down to the toilets was broken.

We all had a lovely time! I am sure everyone of us (we were 5) would recommend Bluespoon. It was an ideal venue to celebrate my graduation with fine food, good wine, and top service! Overall an ideal location if you are looking for a fancier dinner with still a casual setting.

Wonderful experience at the Blue Spoon. The dishes were delightful with excellent wine pairing. The decorations of the hotel/restaurant were full of stories and the lively waitresses/waiters are there to tell you more if you are curious.

The Deco and atmosphere is perfect. The staff is professional and they give us a pleasant dinner experience. The dishes are fairly good in taste but no extraordinary elements inside.

Super friendly and professional service. Great food -- though the avocados were not ripe/soft enough to really bring it all together.

Cannot fault the quality or service it was a delicious meal and though expensive was value for money, had to hunt down the server a couple of times but for Amsterdam the service was good. My only negative comment is there are no egg dishes, that was disappointing for me. I booked a Brunch and this is more a lunch menu.
