The service was poor. Long waiting time between meals and accompanying wine was served half way through the meal, disappointing. The food was okay. For these prices, you can eat better at a lot of nice places.

I went there with a friend for her last day in Amsterdam and we really had a great experience, it totally reached our expectations. Dishes as expected, not super big but in line with our expectations. Quality I would say high, my Ribeye was great and the fish of my friend as well. Waiting time for the dishes short so this is also a good point. Location was great and to be literally in the heart of Amsterdam I can only give 10 as quality was high and not a tourist trap as it usually is! Service great as well, all the waitresses super super nice and kind! Prices are in line with Amsterdam ones, we also had the discount with TheFork so even better for us.

Beautiful location, in the busy centre, right between the Central station and the Dam square. However, once you are inside, you are immediately taken back at least 100 years ago! They kept the authenticity of the interior, very unique! The menu offers a nice choice of dishes, whether you are a vegetarian, or a fish / meat eater. My friend and I both went for the coquilles as a starter and duck breast as a main course. The kitchen was experimenting with the new menu, which requered some extra waiting time, but each course came out nicely composed and tasted very good. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu and to have some more of that delicious Montepulciano! Special thanks to Joyce - our waitress - for keeping a good eye and being so attentive and professional! Great service, we really appreciate it.

Beautiful Deco bistro close to Amsterdam Central Station and very convenient to downtown sights and shopping! We were up for a light, quick dinner and the soup and salad on the menu were just perfect. Great taste and great value, we will definitely be back soon.

Beautiful place. Food was good. I was there for (late) lunch on Sunday and it was very nice and quiet. The furniture, colors and surroundings are lovely.

Super good location in the heart of Amsterdam, yet away from the crowd. Chic interior in old/classic trading centre with relax atmosphere..Food and price are fairly good.

Went here with friends with the AH actie. We came for the setting and weren't disappointed, the space is absolutely stunning. The rest of the experience didn't quite live up to the glamour. They offer a 3-course meal for 29,50, potentially a great deal, but I guess one would need to be careful with those courses because for me all 3 were a bit disappointing. The scallops were good, but there were just 2 of them and the black pudding they came with consisted of 2 paper thin slices - not what I was expecting. The guinea fowl was pretty good but again a pretty meager portion. The cookie "dough" dessert was in fact baked into a cake-like cookie; the joy of cookie dough is that it's raw, so again, not what I was expecting. A mistake was made with my order, so we had to wait while it was replaced, but our server offered us a round of drinks on the house, which I thought was a gracious recovery. Aside from that misstep I thought the service was fine. I would come back if in the area but order differently.

About the restaurant

The interior of this brasserie is not typical French but the menu is very inspired by the Parisian brasseries. If you like French cuisine, you will definitely be attracted to this, but for anyone who loves good food, the cook makes something special. In addition, he knows perfectly how to combine the French dishes with modern culinary trends. In such a way that everything that ends on your plate is fresh, tasteful and a party to taste!
