Came to the place 20 minutes before the reservation time and was told to wait until correct time. Ok, when i was in time they told me again the table is not ready and I can stand eating at the bar. what's the sense to reserve then? anyway, nice french couple finished their meal and let me sit at the table. in 20 minutes i was provided with a menu. the service after I odered was fast and quality of the food was quite good but not something what you would remember. waiters were not nice at all.

A good meal in Les Halles. The duck is very good. An alternative to all the seafood places in the marketplace. Worth a visit.

Loved Les Halls in general. Service at AOC and elsewhere in Les Halls we're outstanding. Beef bavet dish was delicious, very tasty meat. Presentation of dish a bit dated but for us it's all about the flavour. AOC les halls was busy, good sign for us, means good food, fresh produce and fantastic atmosphere. Do not really need reservation.

food ok, wine good, service awful. we found out later from a local friend the restaurants in les halles are glorified fast food places.

Fantastic food, patron was very engaging. Unfortunately we asked two different waiters for water for the table but it never came!

Welcome: We arrived on time only to be told we were late and so they'd given our table away, and we were put upstairs (not where we wanted to be). I subsequently found my booking on my phone and showed it to them: we were not late but exactly on time. My daughter (who is studying in Lyon) said they did this because we were tourists and would not have done it were we Lyonnais. It was a shame that the first impression was so bad, since when we proved our booking time, the owner was then helpful, moved us back downstairs and treated us very kindly.

About the restaurant
