Stayed at the hotel for a few days, so I tried AKLA for dinner. Really enjoyed the comfort service, the great food(especially the octop us, the desert all well plated). Strongly recommend!

It took us approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our starters and another 20 some minutes for our main to arrive. The starter (pica pau de novilho) was excellent. The meat was very tender and the sauce very rich with the pickles making an excellent and bright contrast. For our main we ordered the dry aged chuleton which came to the table unsliced on a platter with a fork and spoon. The staff was very friendly and, once requested, took it back to the kitchen for slicing. The sides (wild mushrooms and artichokes) were unimpressive. Not sure if it was the technique or produce. That being said the dry aged beef and the sides would have definitely benefited from some acidity to highlight and contrast some of the richer flavors.

The setting was very pleasant, the service was outstanding and the food was excellent. Our waitperson and the rest of the staff took excellent care of us and we had a lovely meal.

Nice food with expensive prices. The steak was really good but the sides could be better.

The salad with beef tartare has weird seasoning which made the flavor ending up being spicy and bitter at the same time... As for the main course, I asked for my tuna steak to be medium rare, but it was well done....

Had dinner for the second night and it was even better than last night. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and the prawns were amazing. Service was exceptional. I’m not sure how this place isn’t packed every night, it’s that good!

Menu did not match at all with the one presented within The Fork, very disappointing. Very expensive other lunch menu. We were charge 11€ for the water. The Fork discount was “forgotten” by the staff. Since there were only one other party present at the time, service could have been better. (This is my first dissatisfied restaurant visit in many years.)

On the 17 August, for my belated birthday dinner, I booked a table at the Akla restaurant, Intercontinental Hotel, Lisbon. As a guest of the hotel, where the restaurant is situated, I had long anticipated the upcoming treat due to the great reviews. Needless to say, my experience was amazing. We were looked after by Pedro Santos, the restaurant supervisor, who was a pleasure to speak with, he was extremely amicable and his love for the restaurant was very much apparent, which made me feel at ease. One of many highlights was the aged prime rib (from the Josper fire pit) which was sumptuous and tender. The icing on the cake was quite literally the cake, to be more specific, the complimentary birthday cake with all the trimmings, accompanied by a glass of champagne. I had a very special time and the service was par excellence!

Part of the Intercontinental 5* hotel, Akla always uses the best ingredients and it is a great mix of dishes with Portuguese flavors. The team in service is very attentive and friendly. We went already multiple times to Akla and highly recommend it.

Mrs. Santos does not understand what it means to service families with kids! And especially upon constructive feedback, he started to lie. Very disappointing and not mirroring the high quality of food!
