Incredible food and service, prices are consistent with that of any old chain on La Rambla, so if you're travelling do not be afraid to venture to a high end restaurant such as 7 Portes, it's the same price for A MUCH better experience!
la srta de la recepcion mal educada y poco profecional
We went to 7 Portes to have authentic Catalan paella. We were not disappointed. The stock used to make the paella was outstanding-- the essence of seafood. We also had the al dente crispy vegetables; they were fresh and seasonal and terrific. We would return ,
Great food and atmosphere. Small wine selection but good bottle if tempranillo, excellent appetizers and paella.
Fish was so fresh, best grilled veggies, spinach and paella we ever had!
Our family had a wonderful dining experience!! Service and food were exceptional!!!
We had a wonderful night at the restaurant. Our first authentic paella in a lovely atmosphere. The staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
I guess this place had its time in history and at some point was the center of good dinning. However that time has long since passed. Staff is unattentive, food mediocre at best and atmosphere nothing close to what was expected. There are 1000 of places you should rather go than spend time here.
It took me 30 minutes to get the table reserved and another 30 minutes to get my first glass of water. Certainly a overrated restaurant. I will not return, even that finally the food was not as bad. Peter Femfert
Pella fantastica!! Costolette d'agnello super!
Lovely traditional restaurant with great food, however our service that evening was extremely slow for some reason (over 45 mins wait for bread and ham for example).
Great food in an amazing setting. We tried a bunch of the small appetisers and then had the Parellada paella which was spot on. Friendly service, piano tinkling in the background, what more could you ask for.
The service is amazing, I loved tge fact that our waiter was taking care of the small details, explaining things, informing us of ingredients, offering suggestions, didn’t make us wait once! The atmosphere is festive yet very relaxing - if it’s not the heat season, you should enjoy the table outside. Food was amazing, we enjoyed small sea food platter, steak with green peppers, side dishes (caramelized onions are amazing!), and desset - creme brule with cinnamon is delicious (and the size is good for two), pastries with cream and hot chocolate was so satisfying - they use high quality hot chocolate, this dessert is also good to share! Overall I want to thank the whole team for an amazing dinner! Will definitely come here again!
Nice place to be seen however quality of food was not up to par .I have eaten better paella’s in India.Restaurant still surfs on his reputation of oldest restaurant in Barcelona and majority of customers were tourists so a tourist trap. Please stay away and encourage small upcoming restaurants where service and owners will give all a better service and meal at a more reasonable price. Being the last restaurant after staying 5 days I was expecting the icing on the cake after admiring this outstanding city ....however was really disappointed.
